After an eventful V Rising free weekend, which saw player count triple its previous month's peak, the massive V Rising 1.1.1 update is finally here! Here we dive into the V Rising 1.1.1 patch notes and cover everything you need to know about the latest update, which includes a ton of spell and ability buffs and nerfs across the board.
While Stunlock Studios revealed upcoming changes last week ahead of its free weekend, the studio decided against releasing the patch until this week to avoid any instability for free weekend players. But for this weekend, the changes are finally here!
The V Rising 1.1.1 update comes with a range of bug fixes and spell/ability balance changes, with plenty of buffs and nerfs from top to bottom.
This patch includes balance changes for all of the following: Sanguine Coil, Blood Rite, Wraith Spear, Spectral Guardian, Ball Lightning, Veil of Storm, Corrupted Skull, Veil of Bones, Freeze Immunity, Mosquito, Veil of Chaos, Wisp Dance, Arctic Storm, Raging Tempest, Curse, Ice Block, Blood Fountain, and Cyclone.
This patch also includes a bug fix for Explosive Shot (Pistol), and big changes for Corrupted Blood, which will affect both PVP and PVE encounters.

V Rising 1.1.1 Patch Notes (Full)
Balance Changes (Buffs & Nerfs)
- Arctic Storm: Reduced damage per tick by 15% and moved that damage to the final tick.
- Ball Lightning: Added a 0.5-second delay before explosion on recast. (Jewel Effect)
- Blood Fountain: Increased initial heal from 50% to 55% of your spell power.
- Blood Rite: Reduce duration and damage on the follow-up attack from 20-40% (5-second duration) to 15-30% (4-second duration). (Jewel Effect)
- Corrupted Skull: Increase the bonus damage done below the threshold from 40% to 50%.
- Curse: Increased base duration by 0.5 seconds.
- Cyclone: Bonus damage reduced from 20-40% to 14-30%. (Jewel Effect)
- Freeze Immunity: Damage bonus for trying to apply freeze on an immune target has been increased from 25% to 30%.
- Ice Block: Increased shield from 500% to 550% of your spell power.
- Mosquito: Damage dealt now scales with bonus minion damage. No longer leeches health to the player through Spell Leech attribute.
- Raging Tempest: Reduced duration from 3 seconds to 2.5 seconds while keeping total damage dealt.
- Sanguine Coil: Increased Cooldown from 6 to 7 seconds. Reduce default projectile speed by 20%. Increase healing on allies from 14-30% to 20-40% (Jewel Effect).
- Spectral Guardian: Now attacks 15% faster.
- Veil of Bones: Increase the bonus damage when below the threshold from 20-40% to 30-50% (Jewel Effect)
- Veil of Chaos: Dash duration changed from 0.3 seconds to 0.4 seconds. Distance changed from 5 to 5.5.
- Veil of Storm: Dash duration reduced from 0.45 seconds to 0.4 seconds.
- Wisp Dance: Increased cast time from 0.15 seconds to 0.4 seconds.
- Wraith Spear: Cooldown gained from canceling the spell has been increased from 50% to 65%. Reduced the penalty per target from 6-10% to 8-16% (Jewel Effect)
General
- Corrupted Blood: The hostile ghost spawned by Corrupted Blood has its dash speed reduced and will now pierce enemies. The damage will no longer trigger counters. Damage from ghosts can no longer cause a fatal blow.
Bug Fixes
- Explosive Shot (Pistol): Fixed a bug where you could take damage during the roll.
