Windrose Dragon's Breath Guide: How to Get, Stats, Build, & Crafting Recipe
Publicado em por
The Dragon’s Breath is a devastating firearm in Windrose, and its stats and unique effects can work especially well for pirate captains using the right builds to support it. Here, we’ll take a deep dive into what you should know about this long-range weapon, including where it's located, how to get it, and how to get the most out of it in a fight!
Getting the Dragon’s Breath requires natural progression, as Windrose players can only get it in the Cursed Swamps. Once unlocked, search for and open Old Skeleton Chests in this biome, and hope that Lady Luck is on your side, that one of them may contain this prized firearm. Crypts, Tainted Ruins, and Ruins with Flowerbeds generally have higher chances of containing these chests, which, by extension, might also have this blunderbuss.
Alternatively, bypass the significant reliance on RNG by crafting the Dragon’s Breath at camp. Craft it a Level 1 Weaponsmith Workshop using 10x Wood and 7x Copper Ingot. This recipe yields the weapon’s Rare variant. You can also enhance it to Epic, which only requires the Rare version and 9x Tumbaga Ingot at the same workstation.
To circumvent the need to find the Dragon's Breath at all, you can also visit another Windrose server where a player has the gun already. Here, simply request to hold the weapon to immediately learn its crafting recipe without the need to go to the Cursed Swamps, and you can drop it right back to its original owner!
Pirate captains who wish to take full advantage of the Dragon’s Breath blunderbuss in Windrose often rely on the weapon’s explosive, high-risk, high-reward nature. Start by investing heavily in Agility, as it’s the stat that synergizes with this weapon. Ideally, look to have 40 to 50 Agility to maximize your burst potential.
Spend the remaining points on Endurance and Vitality. The former ensures you have enough stamina to move around the battlefield, especially when dodging is a must. As for Vitality, it’s a crucial stat for survivability, since you’ll often be trading blows at close range.
Players can also pair the Cutlass with the Dragon’s Breath. A melee-hybrid build using this weapon takes advantage of its “Take Aim!” effect, allowing you to stack an additional 10% damage (up to 90%) to your next ranged shot. With enough stacks, use the Dragon’s Breath to blow your enemies away and get right back to the swordfight!
