And it's very likely that you will gather plenty of tools, treasures, and resources during your travels. In the world of Valheim, you won't need to hold on to everything you collect, which is why an Obliterator makes for a handy inventory management tool. How to Use an Obliterator in Valheim

When Valheim first launched, there was no way to destroy excess items and clutter. Instead, most players would march to the ocean and chuck their unnecessary items into the water just to get them out of the way. Eventually, thanks to the Hearth and Home update of 2021, the Obliterator was added to alleviate item buildup. Now, with an Obliterator at your base, you can zap away any item you like. Once you have one built, you simply interact with it and load up as many items as you can fit that you no longer want. Then, you confirm that everything inside the Obliterator has been deleted, and zap! With an enormous blast of lightning, all of those items are gone forever. Naturally, items destroyed by an Obliterator cannot be recovered, so double-check before deleting! Additionally, you can only build an Obliterator within range of a Forge. If you don't have a Forge, you can't construct an Obliterator.

How to Find a Thunder Stone & Craft an Obliterator

To make an Obliterator of your own, you'll need its most vital ingredient: a Thunder Stone. Once you've acquired a Thunder Stone, you'll unlock the recipe for an Obliterator. Of course, that Thunder Stone is also necessary to craft the device itself. Luckily, a Thunder Stone is only found in one place. Unfortunately, that place is Haldor the Trader. Haldor doesn't spawn in the same location from game file to game file. Instead, his shop's destination is randomly generated within each new game of Valheim. You can always find Haldor's spawn within a 1500m radius of your world's center, and he only sets up shop in Black Forests. That should make searching a bit easier. You'll know that you've found Haldor when you see a small campfire, and the tiny blue-skinned dwarf himself alongside it. Keep in mind that a Thunder Stone costs 50 coins, but you'll also only be able to purchase this after you've beaten The Elder. This is the game's second boss, and it shouldn't give you too much trouble. Once it's dead and you've got the funds, a Thunder Stone is all yours.
