How to Summon Hartalis the Raid Boss in Palworld

First, unlock the Summoning Altar from the Technology Tree by reaching Level 32 and using 3x Technology Points to unlock its crafting recipe. Once unlocked, craft it using 100x Stone and 20x Paldium Fragment. Remember, the Summoning Altar disappears after the raid boss appears. So, you must build and place a new one for each raid boss encounter. Like other raid bosses in Palworld, players must search for 4x Hartalis Slab Fragment to summon Hartalis through the Summoning Altar. These slab fragments can randomly appear inside cave and dungeon chests. Alternatively, Hartalis Slab Fragments may appear as rewards from expeditions from the Pal Expedition Station. Note: Unlock the Pal Expedition Station at Level 15 using 2x Technology Points at the Technology Tree. Then, craft it using 20x Wood, 20x Stone, and 50x Paldium Fragment. With that, finding Hartalis Slab Fragments can be tricky. However, Palworld players might be luckier finding these summoning materials by opening the chests at the entrance of the Crystalized Tunnel (coordinates -947, -1318). Additionally, this Pal has two combat phases, which means players have to deplete its health bar twice to claim victory. This multi-phase fight also comes with unique mechanics. For starters, Hartalis, at its core, is a Neutral-type Pal. However, this raid boss variant begins the fight as a Water/Grass Pal. Defeat it once, and it’ll heal itself to full health and transform its element into Neutral. With that, your best bet is to bring your most powerful Electric-type Pals for this fight. Avoid bringing Fire or Ground Pals, as the Hartalis’s offensive and defensive advantages to those elements would make this fight tougher than intended. Defeat Hartalis once, and summon Dark-type Pals to counter its Neutral element. This raid boss fight is a fairly straightforward encounter. Avoid its attacks as much as you can, and heal whenever necessary. However, pay attention to the on-screen prompts when Hartalis creates a barrier. Failure to destroy the shield in record time triggers a powerful explosion that would most likely defeat everyone in the vicinity, including your summoned Pals. For example, the barrier during the first phase may need Electric attacks to break it. So, prepare your raid boss fight team by giving them Electric attacks to destroy the shield. Also, your character should use attacks with the element mentioned on the screen to help with DPS. Tip: Run from Hartalis is you think you can’t break the barrier in time to prevent getting hit by the explosion. Then, return to the fight and resummon new Pals to the fray, as those near the raid boss are most likely defeated by the blast. Proper observance and perseverance will win this fight.
