Minecraft Homestead 2.0 Update: Release Date, Patch Notes, Trailer, & More
Publicado el por
The Minecraft Homestead modpack is one of the game's most beloved cozy experiences. It features tons of quests, vibrant landscapes from its custom world generation, new resources to gather, excellent support for building the base of your dreams, and plenty more. It's also rounding the corner to its next massive update, Homestead 2.0! Here's everything you need to know about the Minecraft Homestead 2.0 update.
The Minecraft Homestead 2.0 release date is Friday, October 23rd, which means it's available now for all players!
Minecraft Homestead 2.0 will be the final content update for the beloved Minecraft modpack, Homestead. According to lead developer Tokimi, "After this, no more mods or content will be added or removed." But while it marks the end of new content additions, it's not the end of support for the modpack overall. "Homestead is not being abandoned, we'll still push out bug fixes and hotfixes whenever issues come up." Tokimi also announced that CozyStudios has another new pack in the works, expected within roughly 6 to 9 months, with more news later this year or next.
So what does the Minecraft Homestead 2.0 update include?
Now that we've gone over some of the highlight changes in Homestead 2.0, let's get into the full patch notes!

Should You Start a New World for Homestead 2.0?
CozyStudios has "HIGHLY recommended" starting a new world for Homestead 2.0 so you can fully enjoy the new biome and world gen mods. But if you'd rather play on your existing world, back it up before you start the update and follow the development team's migration instructions to minimize the risk of losing progress or running into issues, and pay special attention to the storage mod instructions, as these can cause serious issues for existing worlds. You can find these migration instructions in their own section here. If you're playing on a BisectHosting server and have questions, reach out anytime via our 24/7 live chat for help with the update! What is Coming in Minecraft Homestead 2.0?

So what does the Minecraft Homestead 2.0 update include?
Extended Day/Night Cycle
Homestead 2.0 introduces an extended day/night cycle thanks to the Better Days mod. Each full cycle now lasts 40 minutes, with 25 minutes of daytime and 15 minutes of nighttime. This gives players more time to farm, explore, and complete quests and activities during the day.Overhauled End Dimension
The End dimension receives a major overhaul in Homestead 2.0, adding Echoes of the End structures and Endercon. These mods change world generation while offering new structures to discover and explore in The End. Eldritch End was also removed due to performance and compatibility problems.Flowing Rivers (Streams Reflowing)
Prepare to hit the water, as rivers are getting a visual upgrade thanks to Streams Reflowing. This will introduce naturally flowing rivers that head toward oceans, ensuring world generation creates more immersive environments.New Music Systems
Homestead 2.0 turns up the tunes with improvements for the Jukebox and the newly introduced Boombox for audio directly from YouTube video links, perfect for music. The Jukebox now also features a custom interface that lets players play, pause, skip, and even queue up music discs, and there will be 50+ new ambient sound discs.Horse Overhaul
Horses are also being overhauled in Homestead 2.0, thanks to the Icy's Better Horses mod, with a new dedicated quest system to help introduce players to the changes.New Bakery Content
The addition of the new mod Let's Do Bakery will add exciting baking content to Homestead 2.0, including its own questline for players to complete to truly master the art and earn that apron.Enchanting Improvements
Homestead 2.0 introduces the Better Enchantment Bookshelf Placement mod, which will be a massive QOL improvement, making enchanting rooms more flexible than ever, allowing bookshelves to contribute to power from up to 16 blocks in any direction (within line of sight). Get level 30 enchantments without the headaches of design restrictions.Quest System Overhaul
Quests are getting some big changes in Homestead 2.0, and not only just from the newly added questlines. The update will also include a visual overhaul of FTB Quests, and several existing questlines now feature sequential progression, which means players must work through them in order rather than unlocking them freely, unifying the questing experience.Gameplay & World Improvements
Beyond the above, Homestead 2.0 also introduces many smaller gameplay and world improvements. Mystical berries can now be found in Lush Caves so players can tame Mystical Elk without relying on the Mystical Trader alone, springwater can now form infinite sources so players won't have to always travel to mountain areas, Farmer's Delight rich soil offers a stronger boost to growth, and the Eroded Borealis and Shattered Glacier biomes have been re-enabled.Minecraft Homestead 2.0 Patch Notes (Full)

Changed
- Revamped Hexalia Questline

- Updated the Welcome to Homestead book
- Edited the Welcome Screen

- The First Sprout, The Heart of the Homestead, Seasoned and Settled, Tidy Corners, and The Portable Life quests are now (again) connected in a way where you have to work your way through the quests. Not just unlock them at any time. It was this way in the beginning, I reverted it due to some hate, but I want to keep the identity/theme of the pack the way it was supposed to be.
- Made Mystical Berries a part of world gen so that they are now findable in the world and you aren't only dependent on the mystical trader spawning to be able to tame the Mystical Elk. Find them in Lush Caves as a rare berry!
- Spring Water is now possible to be an infinite source, no more needing to travel back and forth to mountains to get a bunch of it
- Added more durability to the Winemaker gear from Let's Do: Vinery and also turned down its durability usage for the bonemeal effect down to 1 per to make it feel more useful
