Valheim TWIG Guide: How to Get the Training Dummy
Veröffentlicht am von
TWIG, the new training dummy introduced in the Call to Arms Update, lets players practice their combat prowess without leaving their bases. With it, the need to search for the next foe (or victim) to test combat capabilities is reduced significantly, and perhaps even eliminated. So, start training to your heart’s content by learning how to get TWIG in Valheim through this guide.
Craft TWIG the Valheim training dummy using 5x Finewood, 10x Bronze Nails, and 5x Ectoplasm. Farm Finewood by chopping Birch and Oak trees throughout the Meadows and Plains biomes. Note that these trees require a Bronze Axe or a higher-tier Axe to chop down.
Next, collect the 10x Bronze Nails using 1x Bronze ingot at the Forge. Process Bronze at the Forge using 2x Copper and 1x Tin or scrapping Scrap Bronze at the Smelter.
Last, gather Ectoplasm by defeating Ghosts. Find these enemies in the Black Forest biome, particularly in the Burial Chambers.
TWIG is classified as a structure. That means you must use the Hammer to access the in-game Build menu and find it in the Miscellaneous tab.
First, it’s important to mention that TWIG is an acronym, albeit the meaning of each letter is currently unknown. Some community members deduce that the letters might mean something like "Timber Warrior Inhabited by Ghost" or "Training With Iron Gate,” the name of the game’s developer.
Like building items in Valheim, TWIG isn’t impervious to destruction. It has a maximum durability of 2,500, but can be repaired and restored to its full health.
Additionally, players can use TWIG to train various combat mechanics in Valheim. Use it to practice hitting enemies with specific weapons or dodging and blocking attacks. Remember, you can still die when taking too many hits from TWIG.
So, stay at your base while practicing with TWIG before dealing with more of the game’s difficult bosses. Over time, put your combat training to good use, and decimate your foes and stand above them as the victor.
