Sprint Speed: 1100 Univolt is a spectacular choice for an speedy early-game mount. They're easy to spot in the Sea Breeze Archipelago region they populate and are purchasable from a few different Pal merchants. They're not terrible fighters, either! As you would expect from a good mount Pal, Univolt's Swift Deity Partner Skill directly affects the player while they're mounted. When you're riding your Univolt, your attack damage will get a significant increase and all of your damage will become tinged with electricity. This combination of electrical power and speed makes Univolt a particularly useful mount when you're hunting Pals with a water element.

#4 Rayhound

Sprint Speed: 1150 In many ways, Rayhound is similar to Univolt. A great early-game mount that's fast and easy to find. They even share their electric element! Unlike Univolt, however, Rayhound makes its home in the northeastern Dessicated Desert region, and it's the faster choice between the two. Having a base speed stat that's only 50 points better than Univolt might not seem like much, but its Rayhound's Partner Skill Jumping Force that gives it an edge. This Partner Skill increases Rayhound's base stat speed and gives you the ability to double jump when mounted. Double jumping doesn't make your mount faster, but the increased maneuverability is a huge bonus when it comes to mounted exploration.

#3 Pyrin and Pyrin Noct

Sprint Speed: 1300 Here comes our first significant boost in base speed. Both Pyrin and Pyrin Noct are quick, but that boost in speed comes at the cost of them not being as readily accessible as Univolt or Rayhound. Pyrin run around the outskirts of Palpagos Island's enormous volcano region to the southwest. Pyrin Noct live deeper in the region and show themselves only at night.
