In Hytale, you'll go through the survival crafting motions of smacking trees, creating tools, and building a home. Naturally, you'll want to get stronger materials as you progress. One of the best choices for a mid-to-late game gear is weapons and armor made from Cobalt. However, you can't craft anything out of Cobalt unless you also know how to get Shadoweave Scraps. How to Get Shadoweave Scraps in Hytale

You might not be getting the best tools or weapons in Hytale with Cobalt, but it's much better than the standard gear you can craft. However, as mentioned above, you'll need plenty of Shadoweave Scraps to craft Cobalt gear. Luckily, Shadoweave isn't too difficult to find. First, you need to find a snowy area in your world known as Whisperfront Frontiers. Opening your map and looking for large swathes of white land is the fastest way to get where you're going. Once you've found a tundra, you're looking for large buildings, mine shafts, or forts. These structures are home to Outlander enemies, and they drop anywhere from one to four Shadoweave Scraps when they're defeated. Outlanders are fairly tough enemies, and they do hang around these sites in groups. Make sure you have plenty of weapons, a full set of armor, and some healing before you go hunting for Shadoweave scraps. Additionally, it's best to raid an Outlander base once you've finished off its inhabitants. They can have chests inside with plenty of goodies, and sometimes those goodies are even more pieces of Shadoweave Scraps.

Once you've gathered enough Shadoweave Scraps from Outlanders, you can create whatever Cobalt gear you like. No matter what Cobalt tools you're crafting, you'll need Cobalt Ingots, Shadoweave Scraps, and Heavy Leather. While Shadoweave Scraps currently only help in the creation of Cobalt tools, Hytale is still in early access. Future updates may offer even more uses for the material (and mods may do the same)!
