There are plenty of ways to customize your character in Enshrouded as you venture out to save Embervale. This includes plenty of powerful weapons, unique armor sets, and, of course, your character's details themselves. However, once you've made your character, their appearance is locked in at the start of the game. Unless, of course, you can find and save the Enshrouded Barber, Elio Ricci. With our guide, you'll learn exactly where to find the Barber, how to complete all his quests, what services he offers, and more!

Barber Location in Enshrouded (Elio Ricci)

Before you can go save Elio Ricci and start barbering yourself, you need to complete these quests:

• Growing Stronger Together
• Carpentry Assistance
• Bring Back the Pure Souls

With these out of the way, you can receive a new quest from your Flame Altar called Illuminate the Night. This will set you on your way to saving the Barber. To begin, you'll need to head to the Ancient Spire - Low Meadows. From there, head north until you reach a location called the Elder's Night Sanctum. Inside the Elder's Night Sanctum, you won't find the usual set of enemies. Instead, you'll face a series of traps. Luckily, you just need to head straight through them. This place isn't too maze-like, but you can get more of a haircut than you bargained for if you get too close to the rolling spike traps. Additionally, there are some giant fireball blasts that burst from the walls as well. Head past these, and you can interact with a button. This will prompt a door to open on the other side of the room. Head toward the now-open door, avoid the traps along the way, and you'll find a glowing pod. Interact with it to add Elio Ricci's soul to your NPC collection, and you can now summon him at your base! Unlike many other crafting NPCs, Elio doesn't have an apprentice, so you won't need to do a second rescue mission.

Not So Scary After All

• Prerequisite(s): Illuminate the Night Quest Complete and Reclaim the Wilderness Quest Complete
• Reward(s): Critter Plush Recipe & 100 XP
• Objective(s):
  • Talk to the Barber
  • Reach the main city of Pikemead's Reach and search for a plushy.
  • Head to the Shanty Shacks and enter a passage through a pile of rubble.
  • Head downstairs and acquire the plushy.
  • Talk to the Farmer Emily.

Coffee, the Greatest Good

• Prerequisite(s): Diving Gear Quest Complete
• Reward(s): Coffee Drum Roaster Recipe & 75 XP
• Objective(s):
  • Talk to the Barber
  • Head to Stillwater Bay in the northwest region of the Veilwater Basin Spire
  • Collect three coffee recipes scattered throughout the town.
  • Search the buildings of Stillwater Bay to also find the Coffee Drum Roaster and Coffee Brewery

Haircolors and Memory Issues

• Prerequisite(s): Have the Barber at your base
• Reward(s): New Red Haircolors & 75 XP
• Objective(s):
  • Talk to the Barber
  • Head to Fort Kelvin and enter the Barber Shop
  • Read the Journal inside the building

Once you have Elio placed at your base, you can speak with him anytime you want for free customization. That's right! You don't have to pay anything, and you can change the following options for your character:

• Skin Color
• Body Presets
• Hair Style
• Hair Color
• Beard Style
• Beard Color
• Eye Color

If that looks familiar, you're right! It's all of the same customization options you have when starting the game. While he may be a Barber, Elio seems to have some magical power that can change your entire physical appearance! Of course, this is just the devs giving you a way to change your character around without having to start a whole new file. And, as mentioned above, you can unlock even more colors by completing smaller fetch quests for Elio. These include colors that weren't available when you first made your character!
