Naturally, the best loot in the game can only be crafted with high-level resources. And if you're looking for some of the best equipment in RuneScape: Dragonwilds, you're looking for runite. This ore is an endgame material, and here in our guide, we will tell you where to find Runite ore, how to mine it, and all of the stats and crafting recipes for the Rune gear you can make with it!

How to Get Runite Ore in RuneScape: Dragonwilds

As an endgame material, you won't be seeing any Runite Ore for a long time. In fact, it spawns exclusively within the Scorned Wilderness. This is the location that was added alongside the RuneScape: Dragonwilds 1.0 update. Since it will be a long bit of adventuring before you're capable of reaching the Scorned Wilderness, the best thing to do in the meantime is to ensure you're ready for it when it comes. For this, you'll want an Adamant Pickaxe, as you'll need it to mine your first Runite Ore. With the proper pickaxe in hand and finally at the Scorned Wilderness, you can freely harvest as much Runite Ore as your back can carry. If you need loads of it, make sure you offload any unnecessary gear or loot at your base first. And, if you're planning to craft anything with Runite Ore, you will need lots of it. Three pieces of Runite Ore need to be combined with three pieces of Luminite Ore in a Blast Furnace to produce a single Rune Bar. These Rune Bars are the key ingredient to making all of the game's powerful rune tools, armor, and weapons. If you're hoping to take on the Scorned Wilderness raid, you'll want some rune gear in your arsenal. The raid is an enormous test, and without the proper equipment, you'll likely face a grisly end. Since Rune Bars can take a lot of effort to make, we recommend prioritizing only a few runite items. If you've been playing the game with a sword, now isn't the time to try your hand with a Rune Warhammer. Save the experimentation for later, and craft a weapon you'll be familiar with. You'll always be able to find some more Runite Ore in the future, but the Scorned Wilderness raid has some additional high-level chase item rewards that you should make your top priority.
