You're exploring the world of Conan Exiles, and you're having fun, then wham! Your health and stamina bars are covered in corruption. This stuff can gunk up your character nearly anywhere in the Hyborian Age. Luckily, there are a few ways to cleanse corruption in Conan Exiles, and we'll show you exactly what they are down below.

How to Cleanse Corruption in Conan Exiles

In Conan Exiles, there are actually three different types of corruption. These are all acquired in different ways and have different negative effects on your character. However, Normal Corruption is the most common. Normal Corruption can reduce your maximum health and stamina by up to 50%. Normal Corruption is acquired by wandering through ancient ruins or other POIs where magical energy lingers. You'll slowly accrue corruption as you spend time in these areas. Additionally, fighting magical creatures such as the undead or demons will simply cause small amounts of corruption to accumulate from exposure. These are three different methods you can use to cleanse Normal Corruption:

• Cleansing Brew
  • Crafted with 1 Herbal Tea & 1 Yellow Lotus Blossom.
  • Removes corruption by 5% of your maximum Health.
• Champion's Leggings
  • Crafted with 20 Armor Scraps, 20 Layered Fur, & 1 Perfected Heavy Padding.
  • Removes one point of corruption every 30 seconds while equipped.
• Heart of a Hero
  • Found in the inventory of slain Relic Hunter Treasure Seekers in the Unnamed City.
  • Removes every single point of corruption when consumed.

Each one of these methods can be handy for cleansing corruption while you're traveling. However, they can take a while to find, craft, and cleanse the corruption itself. For the quickest method to clear Normal Corruption, you'll want to visit the City of the Relic Hunters to the west. There, near the city center, you'll find a tavern. It's easily identifiable from the large red banner above its entryway. Inside, you'll find none other than Conan the Barbarian himself! Once inside the tavern, you'll notice a few dancing thralls. Stand near enough to them, and voila! Your corruption will start to ebb away. While corruption doesn't go away quickly, this method can be much faster than sourcing the materials for the corruption-cleansing items listed above. If you have a base of your own, you can also recruit your own dancing thralls to have some corruption cleansing at home!

Other Forms of Corruption

Tainted Corruption

Unfortunately, there is more than one way to become corrupted in Conan Exiles. Tainted Corruption, for example, is a bit nastier than Normal Corruption. This nasty strain is acquired over time by using Transportory Stones or a Summon Corpse ritual. Additionally, this type of corruption can reduce your health and stamina by up to 99%. Luckily, part of this corruption is the Tainted debuff. It's this debuff that gives the corruption the ability to reduce your health by more than 50%. The only way for this debuff to be removed is to wait it out or consume a Heart of a Hero. When this debuff wears off, you'll instantly lose all corruption above 50%. But you could still be left with an entire half of your Health and Stamina being corrupted. If you don't want to wait around for the debuff to leave, you can use any of the same methods for removing Tainted Corruption that you would for Normal Corruption. Just keep in mind that dancing thralls are roughly 40% less effective at removing Tainted Corruption.

Permanent Corruption

Finally, Permanent Corruption isn't as permanent as the name would have you think. This is corruption you inflict upon yourself on purpose. When you use a Soul Essence, you can corrupt your attributes for dark, magical powers. This will give you corruption that cannot be cleansed by any means other than resetting your attribute points with a Potion of Bestial Memory. Before you brew one of these potions, be sure that you want to use it. They'll spoil after only two minutes, so if you want to use one, it's best to drink it immediately after making it. You can craft them with the following:

• Water-filled Glass Flask: 1
• Yellow Lotus Blossom: 3
• Blood: 3

A more fitting name for this type of corruption would be Nearly Permanent Corruption. Each attribute point you've corrupted will cause 2.5% of your health and stamina to be corrupted by up to 50%. Weighing the pros and cons of whether or not to afflict yourself is up to you and the character build you're aiming for.
