Now that Valheim 1.0 has arrived, there are some new armor sets to discover and wear into battle. They come complete with new looks, new stats, and, for a few of them, some unique buffs! Here, we'll tell you how to craft all of the new Valheim 1.0 armor sets, as well as their stats, crafting recipes, and how to unlock them!

Valheim 1.0 New Armor Sets Guide: Crafting Recipes, Stats, & Set Effects

There are four new armor sets as part of the Valheim 1.0 Deep North update:

• Armor of the Protector
• Armor of the Vanguard
• Armor of the Caller
• Lox Fur Armor

With the exception of the Lox Fur Armor, all of these armor sets require you to find special molds within the new Deep North biome. Specifically, these molds are found within the underground Winding Tunnels of this biome. You'll need to keep an eye out for deep pits that lead into the tunnels. When you're inside, slaying enemies and looting storage containers can reward you with molds. Once you have some molds, you're not done yet. You'll need to use the molds as part of a recipe for crafting a cast of the corresponding armor at a workbench. Once your cast is made, you're still a few steps away from new armor. You'll also need to build a Frost Foundry and Frost Kiln. You'll place your crafted cast onto a Frost Foundry, and fuel the foundry with Liquid Frost from your kiln. This Liquid Frost will power your Frost Foundry and finally transform your cast into a completed piece of armor. As for the Lox Fur armor, you can guess from the name that you'll simply need to slay and skin plenty of Lox creatures. These aren't found in the Deep North, but can be found in the Plains biome. Luckily, they usually travel together, making it easier to get a bundle of their fur all at once.
