Subnautica 2 Lithium Guide: How to Find, Locations, & Crafting Recipes
Veröffentlicht am von
Surviving in an alien ocean is no picnic. Luckily, you don't have to do it alone in Subnautica 2! This time around, you and your pals can scrounge for resources and evade terrifying creatures together. One of the trickier resources to find early on is lithium. Don't worry — here we'll tell you exactly where to find lithium in Subnautica 2 and how to avoid getting eaten along the way.
Now that you have your Sonic Resonator in hand, you'll want to put your lifepod squarely behind you and swim south by southwest. Yes, you will come up on a huge and deep crater that looks like open ocean, but just keep swimming. Nothing should take advantage of this exposed water and approach you.
Eventually, once you're roughly 300 meters away from the lifepod, you'll see an enormous, circular shape on the ocean floor. This terrifyingly large creature is called a Great Jaw. Inside this oyster-on-steroids, you'll see a single gooey center covered in pinkish strands. Within the gooey center are chunky deposits of precious lithium. Success! Use your Sonic Resonator to blast these deposits, and the lithium is yours.
There are a few things to keep in mind, however. First, the Great Jaw is alive and hungry. If you break those pink strands by getting too close to them, the oversized mollusk will do its best to quickly close itself with you inside, and you'll be toast. The best way to quickly escape is if you have an Air Bladder on hand. You can release the air from it to quickly ascend before you become dinner.
Additionally, you'll want to make sure you have plenty of air before going into the Great Jaw to harvest. The monstrous critter is pretty deep underwater. Nearby, however, you can find a few spots where oxygen-rich bubbles are regularly being pumped out. Head to one of these and use them as your starting point before diving into the belly of the beast.
Now that you have some lithium, you'll want to know what you can make with it. At this point in the Early Access build of Subnautica 2, it doesn't have too many uses yet. However, you will want to make regular trips to the Great Jaw to reharvest its lithium after a while. Not necessarily because lithium has many uses, but the few devices it can help you create do offer enough benefits to make more than one of them.

Subnautica 2 Lithium Guide: How to Get, Locations, & Crafting Recipes
First Step: Crafting a Sonic Resonator
So you're looking for Lithium in Subnautica 2. Luckily, there is a spot only a short 315-meter swim away from your lifepod that holds plenty of lithium. Unfortunately, you need a Sonic Resonator before you can collect any of it. There are a few steps you need to follow to craft your own Sonic Resonator. First, you'll want to follow along the game's story by visiting both Anita's & Wu Lianghai's Blackbox locations. You can have these destinations added to your HUD via waypoints when you interact with the NOA computer on your lifepod. At each Blackbox location, you must use a Scanner to scan a discarded Sonic Resonator. Scanning these two defunct resonators will give you the crafting recipe you need to make your own. However, there's still one more step you need to complete first. You'll need to craft a Habitat Builder and create a Fabricator inside a base of your own creation. Doing this will allow your newly-made Fabricator and the original Fabricator on your lifepod to create more complex objects, including the Sonic Resonator. With all of that out of the way, you're finally free to use a Fabricator and create your Sonic Resonator using the following:- Basic Battery: 1
- Wiring Kit: 1
- Titanium Ingot: 1
- Lead: 2
