One secret can make Pal-catching even easier: Lifmunk Effigies. These handy little artifacts are scattered around every corner of the land. In our guide below, we'll show you how to find and use them!

Where to Find Lifmunk Effigies in Palworld

Pals aren't always the easiest critters to catch. With Lifmunk Effigies, you can make it a bit easier. After collecting a certain number of Lifmunk Effigies, your capture rate will increase. With enough of them, you can significantly improve your odds of catching certain Pals. Now, where do you find Lifmunk Effigies? They're literally scattered around every corner of the map. Brace yourselves, completionists: there are currently 605 total Lifmunk Effigies to find in Palworld. Before you panic, however, you only need to find 51 of them to get the full benefit of their capture rate buffs. While you may be thinking it's best to go Lifmunk Effigy hunting early on, you'll want to make sure you have a flying Pal first. With so many effigies all over the world, and thanks to their bright, green-glowing appearance, the best way to gather these squirrely artifacts is to take to the sky at night. If you get up high enough and wait for it to be dark enough, you'll easily be able to spot the verdant shine of effigies around the world. The image above is a screenshot of the game's starting area, Windswept Hills. It should give you a clear view of where to start scouring for Lifmunk Effigies once you've got a flying Pal. Additionally, you can open your game's world settings, change the difficulty to Custom, and drag your Night Time Speed slider to a lower value. This will give you more time to search with optimal lighting.

How to Use Lifmunk Effigies & Catch Rate Stats

When you find a Lifmunk Effigy, you'll interact with it to pick it up. While this will add it to your collection, you can't see it in your inventory. To monitor your progress collecting effigies, you need to build a Statue of Power. These become buildable once you reach Technology level 6. With a Statue of Power built at your base, you can interact with it to spend your Lifmunk Effigies. There are currently 14 different levels of capture power you can attain using Lifmunk Effigies. However, this isn't representative of your total capture power. Keep in mind that you should always try to use higher-level Pal Spheres even if you've collected loads of Lifmunk Effigies. Finally, it's important to note that while the Lifmunk Effigies are helpful, they provide a progressively smaller boost to your capture rate on higher-level pals. A level one Lamball, for example, will be much easier to catch with more Lifmunk Effigies. Meanwhile, a level 33 Jetragon would still prove much harder to catch. None of this is to say that Lifmunk Effigies won't help, but they're not the strongest possible boost to your capture power. Here is the list of how many effigies you need to collect for each new capture rate upgrade and the approximate increase in your capture rate. Note that these rates are only part of the capture calculation; other variables include the targeted pal's level, species, HP, status effects, and more.
