Minecraft 2025 Roadmap Leaks: Spicewood, Drop Schedule, Updates & More
Veröffentlicht am von
The Minecraft community is by no means unfamiliar with leaks, such as those with the creaking in 2024, but few have ever been as big as what we will be going over below! So, today, we explore the Minecraft 2025 roadmap leaks, including Spicewood, drop schedules, and more.
The first leak in question is a single image showcasing Mojang’s content schedule for 2025, 2026, and 2027. In it, we are shown that Minecraft content drops, Mojang’s new term for small-scale updates, will be released four times a year on a quarterly schedule. Additionally, the roadmap indicates that Minecraft Live is planned to occur twice a year, during both spring and winter, aligning with Mojang’s previously made announcements.
But what has fans most intrigued is “Spicewood,” which appears to be the name of Mojang’s next spin-off Minecraft game.
Set to release in quarter two of 2026, Minecraft Spicewood may be joining the Minecraft spin-off family as Mojang’s latest attempt at taking the IP in a new direction. Or, if more recent leaks in March 2025 are to be believed, it may even be a Minecraft Dungeons sequel.
The first roadmap revealed only the Spicewood logo, release quarter, and a planned update for quarter three of 2026, which have yet to be debunked. Then, the more recent leaks showcased imagery of a new warden-like boss coming through the portal found at the center of ancient city structures and dungeons-like gameplay. Both images came from a fairly well-known leaker, adding to the credibility.
Slightly prior to the Spicewood images described above, there was also a second roadmap leak that was much more detailed than the one from January 2025. Within it, update names such as Soaring Skies and Festive Frolics were revealed alongside a supposed confirmation of a Minecraft Fortnite crossover.
However, since its release, multiple credible leakers from both the Minecraft and Fortnite community have come forward, claiming this particular roadmap to be fake.
Mojang has made no official statement confirming or denying the validity of the January leaks. This has led to some fans taking the silence as confirmation the leaks are real, while others remain skeptical, with one Reddit user pointing out outdated and incorrect logo usage throughout the leaked image. Should the leaks be real, we will likely see an announcement for Spicewood during Minecraft Live in the first quarter of 2025.
