Hytale Zones & Biomes Guide: Mobs, Good Base Locations, & More
Veröffentlicht am von
Enter the world of Hytale, and traverse through its different zones and biomes as you create your own unique story. But what can you expect to experience from its four main regions? Start preparing for that grand adventure as you continue reading this guide.
Currently, Hytale has four main zones: Emerald Grove, Howling Sands, Whisperfrost Frontiers, and Devastated Lands. Each zone has unique biomes, and every location has a unique set of mobs and loot. These benefits and challenges lead to hours of wandering as you explore every corner of each zone to uncover hidden mysteries and find rare items.
Known as the first zone for relatively every new Hytale player, the Emerald Grove is your first chapter into the world of Orbis. Explore its various biomes, including the Autumn Forest and the serene Drifting Plains. Here, you can start your adventure by gathering essential resources from beginner-friendly mobs, both hostile and non-hostile.
It’s also in this zone that you should build your first base, particularly near the Forgotten Temple. After all, this ancient structure holds the key to your progression by letting you redeem Memories for rewards. Over time, this location becomes a safe, strategic hub for your entire journey.
After you’re done exploring and looting most of Emerald Grove, it’s time to set your sights on Zone 2 – the Howling Sands. Rolling dunes and deep canyons encompass this harsh, sun-scorched realm. If the first zone generally holds your hand, prepare for a fight for survival in this new zone, as you’ll have to deal with hostile mobs like the predatory Scaraks.
Select a spot near an oasis, should you wish to build a second base in this zone. Create this vital refuge at this location to ensure a consistent supply of unique wood- and water-themed items. However, watch out for the Cactee, as these hostile cactus-looking creatures sneak up and attack any unprepared adventurer.
Ready your coats and warm apparel, as the biting winds and icy snowcaps of the Whisperfrost Frontiers take no prisoners. Here, traverse glacial valleys and the snowy regions of its biomes like the Everfrost while under the eerie glow of the aurora. You can also patrol seemingly abandoned villages for loot. However, these unique locations can be deadly, especially at night, as you’ll encounter hostile mobs like Void Spectres and the aggressive Outlander tribe.
However, these lonesome settlements can also act as one of your bases, provided you build adequate defenses around them to protect yourself from the horrors of the night. So, consider requesting help from online allies within the same Hytale dedicated server to prevent your stronghold from crumbling down. As a bonus, these locations often have loot that respawns over time, making resource-gathering excursions in this zone fairly convenient.
At the time of writing, the fourth zone, Devastated Lands, is the perilous final region of the current state of Hytale Early Access. This deadly location of ash and flame requires adventurers to traverse lava-filled caverns and enemy-filled overworld territories. Despite its beauty, this hellscape has danger pulsing from its terrain.
Nonetheless, some locations in Zone 4 can be worthy of becoming your next base. In particular, and like your adventures in Zone 3, search for an elevated abandoned settlement. If you decide to call this place your new home, your first priority should be to build defensive walls to protect it from hostile hazards. The additional height should also help prevent some wandering enemies from plundering your house.
