How to Beat the Creaking in Minecraft
Veröffentlicht am von
The creaking is Minecraft’s latest hostile mob, but it is one that is impossible to defeat unless the mechanics are done right. So, today, we explore how to beat the creaking in Minecraft and make it through the eerie pale night.
The creaking spawns exclusively in the newly added pale garden biome and attacks only when the player is not looking. Upon encountering the creaking, do not panic and simply look in its direction. The creaking will freeze in place, awaiting the moment you get distracted.
Yet, even in this state, the creaking can’t be harmed. That’s because the creaking mob itself is nothing more than a puppet for the true threat that hides nearby.
While the creaking is within your sight, hit it once. This will cause particles to temporarily appear, showing the tree where the creaking heart hides. Additionally, with each strike against the creaking, resin will generate on the pale oak logs of the home tree, making it even easier to spot among the monochrome landscape. While keeping the creaking within line of sight, travel to the tree and begin cutting it down until the creaking heart block is found. It will have the appearance of a pale oak log with a center that glows an unmistakable warm orange hue.
Cut the creaking heart with an axe, and that pesky creaking goes poof.
An alternative method for defeating the creaking is cutting the creaking heart with a silk touch enchanted axe. This allows players to loot the creaking heart and bring it home as a pet. Upon placing the creaking heart between two pale oak log blocks stacked vertically, the creaking heart will activate, spawning your very own creaking as soon as night arrives.
But be warned! The creaking heart will remain active unless broken once more, and the creaking itself will still do its best to defeat any player nearby.
