Enshrouded: How to Tame a Capybara
Veröffentlicht am von
Eliminating the Shroud from Embervale can become lonely for a Flameborn. Thankfully, cats, dogs, and goats can be tamed to help increase those feelings of companionship. Now, you can also tame a Capybara in Enshrouded, thanks to the Wake of the Water Update, and we’re here to help you domesticate your first one!

The new Veilwater Basin biome is the home of the Capybara in Enshrouded. Travel west from the Albaneve Summits Ancient Spire to reach this new region. It’s still quite a trek, as you’ll have to scale a mountain and then glide down to arrive at Veilwater Basin.
Here, travel west to reach the Capybara Oasis. After arriving, you’ll notice some Capybaras being attacked by giant rodents. Dispatch the enemies using spells, weapons, preferred builds, or offensive techniques.
Walk to the large waterfall nearby after taking care of those foes. A dead Capybara should be at the base of the waterfall. Interact with the carcass and loot its remains to find two items: Capybara Bristles and Drak Teeth. Doing so triggers the quest, “Capybara Search and Rescue.”
As its name implies, the quest’s main objective is to save a Capybara taken captive by Draks. So, travel southwest of the Capybara Oasis to reach a Drak Camp. Prepare yourself, as you’ll be dealing with Level 39 foes.
Kill the largest Drak lying in wait on the ground floor of the encampment to mark the quest as complete. But, don’t leave the Drak Camp yet. Instead, loot the large Drak’s body to find a Baby Capybara. Return to your base and summon your first Capybara in Enshrouded.
First, unlock the Farmer NPC, Emily Fray, by waking her up at the Ancient Vault – Farmer north of the Springlands Ancient Spire fast travel point. Once summoned, complete the quests, “Animal Farming,” to learn about the basics of the Enshrouded’s animal husbandry mechanic by taming a goat.
Then, start the quest, “Capybara,” from the Farmer. Next, craft a Capybara Bait using the following materials: 2x Algae, 2x Paper Reed, and 1x Sugar Cane.
However, these resources can be found throughout Embervale. For instance, find Algae in the Veilwater Basin. As for Sugar Cane, travel to the Nomad Highlands to farm it. Finally, Paper Reeds can be found throughout various areas all around the map.
With the Capybara Bait crafted, return to the Veilwater Basin and find a wild Capybara. Once found, tame the creature by following these steps:
