The lush green color of Stardew Valley’s surroundings turns an enchanting golden brown as Fall appears. This signifies the time of year you'll want to really make a profit in to store up for the upcoming Winter. To take the most advantage of the Fall season, here we'll cover the best crops to plant in Fall, events to focus on, and some extra ways to earn money along the way.

Stardew Valley Fall Season Guide

Stardew Valley Fall Fall is the third season in Stardew Valley, and it has 28 days like the other in-game seasons. Time is of the essence despite having the same number of days as Spring, Summer, and Winter. Remember, you can’t grow anything in Winter unless you have the Greenhouse.

Best Crops to Plant in Fall

Stardew Valley Fall Crops As Winter looms on the horizon, the amount of crops you can plant in Fall decreases. In Summer, you could plant and harvest 13 types of crops exclusive to that season. But in Fall, that number reduces to 10. Nonetheless, it doesn’t mean you can’t take advantage of this season to earn a good profit. So, here are the best crops you can cultivate and collect during Fall in Stardew Valley.

Beets

Although not as profitable as other Fall crops, Beets can still help increase your return on investment (ROI). For starters, the shop at the Oasis sells these seeds for only 20 gold pieces per pack. So, you shouldn’t have problems purchasing many Beet Seeds in Year 1. Next, Beets have a growth period of six days with no regrowth period. Meaning you can harvest up to four mature Beet crops per tile if you start planting in Fall 1.
Selling Prices
  • Regular: 100 gold pieces
  • Silver: 125 gold pieces
  • Gold: 150 gold pieces
  • Iridium: 200 gold pieces
Note: All selling prices increase by 10% with the Tiller profession.

Eggplants

Eggplant seeds have the same price as Beet seeds. But an Eggplant sells less than a Beet. However, the difference between these crops is that Eggplant has a regrowth period. That means you won’t have to spend the extra money buying the seeds after harvesting the plant once. In particular, the initial growth period of each Eggplant is five days, and it has the same number of days for its regrowth stage. So, you can harvest mature Eggplants up to five times per Fall season if you start planting in Fall 1.
Selling Prices
  • Regular: 60 gold pieces
  • Silver: 75 gold pieces
  • Gold: 90 gold pieces
  • Iridium: 120 gold pieces
Note: All selling prices increase by 10% with the Tiller profession.

Grapes

Grape is a unique entry for this list since you can grow it in Summer. However, you can only get this berry in Summer through foraging or cultivating Summer Seeds. Note that Summer Seeds can either grow into Grapes, Sweet Peas, or Spice Berries. So, it’s not an ideal Summer crop compared to options like Hops or Hot Pepper. But if grown in Fall, one Grape plant has a 10-day initial growth period. Then, it’ll enter its regrowth period once every three days. Meaning you can harvest and sell Grapes up to six times in Fall if you start planting in Fall 1.
Selling Prices
  • Regular: 80 gold pieces
  • Silver: 100 gold pieces
  • Gold: 120 gold pieces
  • Iridium: 160 gold pieces
Note: All selling prices increase by 10% with the Tiller profession.

Fairy Roses

Fairy Rose seeds are quite expensive compared to other entries in this list. Still, the profit it brings is fairly high, making it one of the more lucrative Fall crops to farm. Note that each Fairy Rose plant has a growth period of 12 days. It also doesn’t have a regrowth period, which means you must purchase another set of packs from the General Store after you harvest the plant. Note: Although you can purchase Fairy Rose seeds at the JojaMart, Traveling Cart, and Night Market, these other locations sell these products at a higher price than the General Store.
Selling Prices
  • Regular: 290 gold pieces
  • Silver: 362 gold pieces
  • Gold: 435 gold pieces
  • Iridium: 580 gold pieces
Note: All selling prices increase by 10% with the Tiller profession.

Pumpkins

Buying Pumpkin Seeds costs less than purchasing Fairy Rose seeds. But you get more from selling mature Pumpkins than vending fully-grown Fairy Rose plants. But note that each Pumpkin seed will mature in 13 days. Plus, it doesn’t have a regrowth period. Still, you can harvest up to two mature Pumpkins per tile if you start planting seeds in Fall 1. Tip: Plant Pumpkin Seeds in a 3x3 area for a chance to have it transform into a giant variant.
Selling Prices
  • Regular: 320 gold pieces
  • Silver: 400 gold pieces
  • Gold: 480 gold pieces
  • Iridium: 640 gold pieces
Note: All selling prices increase by 10% with the Tiller profession.
