In 7 Days to Die, various activities and tasks reward survivors with experience points (XP). Taking advantage of the Challenge System incentivizes players with additional XP and other rewards. So, it's time to quickly level up in 7 Days to Die by learning about the Challenge System and how best to use it!

What Are Challenges in 7 Days to Die?

With the release of 7 Days to Die 1.0, the Challenge System replaces the old tutorial and journal mechanic. This new system allows new and veteran players to earn rewards while casually completing various objectives while playing the game normally. Additionally, the challenges are under 12 categories, which are the following:

• Advanced Survival
• Crafting
• Traders and Crafting
• Harvesting
• Gathering
• Farmer
• Survivor
• Hunter
• Zombie Slayer

Note that players must complete the challenges under “Basics of Survival” to unlock the objectives in the other 11 categories. Once unlocked, survivors can then complete the other challenges in any order they prefer. New 7 Days to Die players can start unlocking challenges focusing on basic survival skills, such as gathering, harvesting, and meeting traders. On the other hand, veteran and late-game survivors can take on more difficult challenges, including defeating special undead types, like Cop and Demolition zombies.

7 Days to Die Challenge Rewards

Completing a challenge in 7 Days to Die primarily rewards the player with XP, ranging from 500 XP to 10,000 XP. However, some challenges, especially tougher ones, give players additional rewards, such as ammunition and mods.
