What’s the Difference Between Staff Charges and Eternal Spells in Enshrouded?

Staff Charges and Eternal Spells in Enshrouded fuel a Flameborn’s magical prowess. However, both types of magic categories generally differ in flexibility and longevity. First, Staff Charges typically act like magic bullets and are finite. Players must craft these scrolls and use them normally. However, the charges deplete from frequent usage. On the other hand, Eternal Spells are like the upgraded cousins to Staff Charges. As its name implies, Eternal Spells have infinite uses, denoted by the infinite (∞) on the spell’s icon. Although Eternal Spells save you the trip from returning to your base frequently and recharge your magical stocks, these scrolls generally require additional crafting requirements. Nonetheless, you must only craft an Eternal Spell once to use it indefinitely.

How to Get Eternal Spells in Enshrouded

It’s possible to find both Staff Charges and Eternal Spells relatively anywhere in Embervale. Defeating enemies, looting chests, and smashing crates may sometimes drop these types of magic ammunition. However, the chances of these items appearing are considerably low. So, it’s safe to say that the better option is to unlock the Alchemist and summon the NPC at your base. Find his pod in the Ancient Vault – Alchemist located west of the Springlands. You'll also know when to unlock the Alchemist when you trigger the "Powerful Alchemy" quest. With the Alchemist in your base, interact with the NPC to craft Staff Charges and Eternal Spells in Enshrouded. Note that you must complete additional quests and/or place certain items near the NPC to gain access to more powerful charges and spells.
