Core Keeper Lantern Guide (Update 1.0): Stats, Effects, & How to Get Them

As of Update 1.0, five lanterns exist in Core Keeper. These items can generally be acquired through looting and crafting. For the latter, players must have the necessary materials and working stations that range from early- to late-game variants.

Small Lantern

• Item Level: 2
• Tooltip: A weak light to attach to your belt.
• Effects: +3 glow
• How to Get: Craft at the Copper Workbench using 3x Copper Bar and 3x Slime.

Lantern

• Item Level: 6
• Tooltip: A small, useful light that leaves your hands free.
• Effects: +4 glow and +9 max health
• How to Get: It has a chance to appear after destroying a Hive Growth in the Larva Hive. This lantern also has a chance to appear when opening standard chests and Larva Hive chests. A pedestal at the Sea Harbor Town or Bloat Oat Isle may also have this lantern.

Pumpkin Lantern

• Item Level: 7
• Tooltip: A scary yet cozy lantern carved from a fruit. Don't smash it; it brings bad luck.
• Effects: +0.5 health every second and +4 glow
• How to Get: It may appear when opening a Samhain Goodie Bag, which is a Halloween-exclusive container.

Orb Lantern

• Item Level: 9
• Tooltip: A better, brighter source of light to attach to your belt.
• Effects: +5 glow and +9% mining damage
• How to Get: Craft at the Scarlet Workbench using 8x Scarlet Bar and 8x Slime.

Pearl Lantern

• Item Level: 12
• Tooltip: A shimmering blue pearl in a scallop that illuminates your path above the dark depths of the sea.
• Effects: +5 blue glow, +7% movement speed, and +1.3 mana every second
• How to Get: Craft at the Octarine Workbench using 8x Octarine Bar and 8x Slipper Slime. Alternatively, fish it out from seawater or normal water at the Sunken Sea biome. This lantern is also a guaranteed drop when opening a Seashell Chest at the Small Pier or Coral-Covered Island.

Soul Lantern

• Item Level: 12
• Tooltip: A vessel with a hot, oil-like substance within.
• Effects: +6 blue glow and +32.1% minion attack speed
• How to Get: Ra-Akar the Sand Titan may drop this lantern upon defeat.
