The 15^th Anniversary has ended, but not without a few groundbreaking announcements! So, today, we explore all the confirmed details on Minecraft Series, the Minecraft Series release date, and where to watch Minecraft Series once the show goes live.

Minecraft Animated Series: Release Date

No official Minecraft Series release date has been provided. However, due to the short length of the announcement trailer and confirmation that it is still in development, we are likely looking at a late 2026 release date at the earliest or 2027 if being more realistic.

Minecraft Animated Series: Details

So far, the details are sparse, but confirmation has been given that the series will be animated, produced by Netflix, and developed by studio WildBrain. Other projects WildBrain has worked on include Sonic Prime, Ninjago: Dragons Rising, and Carmen Sandiego. As for the plot, the nether is shown prominently in the announcement. However, this could simply be due to the fact that the red colors match Netflix’s logo. It would be fantastic foreshadowing if the nether ends up being heavily related to the plot, though!

Voice Actors

No voice actors have been shared at this time. But as soon as they are, we will have them listed here! Chris Pratt for Steve, anybody? He’s so cool.

Where to Watch

Minecraft Series will air exclusively on Netflix. This means those wishing to watch the show will need an active Netflix subscription. Prices vary depending on country, but for those who don’t actively use Netflix, subscribing for one month when it airs and then canceling is always a valid strategy.

Is Minecraft Series Going to Be Minecraft: Story Mode Retold?

While it is true that Minecraft and Netflix have partnered in the past to bring Minecraft: Story Mode to Netflix viewers, there is nothing to currently suggest that Minecraft Series will have any relation to Minecraft: Story Mode.
