Chaos Cubed Release Date

Minecraft 26.2 Chaos Cubed was confirmed live on stage to be releasing June 16, 2026! They also revealed some fun facts, such as geysers being a feature they wanted to add for many years, and players using armadillos as balls inspiring the idea for Sulfur Cubes. Fans who would like to jump into Chaos Cubed early to help find bugs can do so using the currently available pre-releases.

A Minecraft Movie Squared – New Cast Members

The name of the Minecraft Movie sequel is A Minecraft Movie Squared! A behind-the-scenes look teased new biomes and mobs and introduced two new cast members. Matt Berry is playing either a copy of Steve or Herobrine while Kirsten Dunst is playing Alex. Additionally, an official Minecraft build contest is being held. The winner will have their build featured in the movie, receive a private screening, and get an exclusive cape.

Minecraft Dungeons 2 – Twisted Warden Boss

Biomes, both familiar and new, were quickly shown off in the form of Minecraft Dungeons 2 concept art before focusing on the deep dark and the new boss players will encounter within it. The twisted warden, a giant, much more menacing version of the warden, who guards the ancient city portal. No mechanics or gameplay were shown, but a new LEGO set of this boss is available. Minecraft Dungeons 2 was then confirmed to be releasing later this year on an unspecified date.

Quarter Three Game Drop

The yet-unnamed quarter three game drop made a brief appearance, showing a new biome and structure, both of which we have detailed below. They made sure to specify that this is still early work and more is on the way for this drop. Agnes also shared that the team’s focus is on expanding adventuring within the game.

Dappled Forest Biome

Inspired by the autumn forests of Michigan, the dappled forest biome contains poplar trees that can have leaves of red, yellow, or orange. The grass within the biome is a similar orange to the leaves, and brown mushrooms and fallen logs appear to be more common. A new red bush is also found within the biome. Poplar trees come complete with a full warm grey wood set.

Abandoned Camp Structure

The new overworld structure, called the abandoned camp, is a small and immersive addition that appears to have few, if any, biome restrictions. It contains a tent made of the new wool stair and slab blocks, a barrel, a lantern, and a campfire. Who built it was stated to be unknown.
