There is no shortage of fine weaponry to discover in the world of Valheim. To find the best stuff, you'll need to go hunting. Killing critters and gathering resources are how you survive, and how you'll kill. If you want a bow that's particularly skilled at killing, look no further than the Draugr Fang. In this guide, we'll show you how to craft a Draugr Fang of your own in Valheim while also offering some info on its stats. Let's dive in!

How to Craft Draugr Fang in Valheim

As is the case with other recipes in Valheim, you'll unlock the ability to craft Draugr Fang once you've touched all of its necessary ingredients. The necessary ingredients in question for the Draugr Fang are Ancient Bark, Guck, Deer Hide, & Silver. You'll likely have interacted with Deer Hide shortly after starting your Valheim playthrough, but those remaining three ingredients can be trickier to find. Here's where you can reliably find each resource:

• Deer Hide: Obtained from killing Deer within the Meadows or Black Forest biomes.
• Silver: Found in ore form in the Mountain biomes above 120m. To harvest it, you'll need an Iron Pickaxe.
• Guck: Dropped by Gucksacks or Abominations within the Swamps.
• Ancient Bark: Found when chopping down Ancient Trees in the Swamps. These trees are recognizable by their gnarled, leafless appearance.

When you go out hunting for these ingredients, you'll need to be aptly prepared to keep yourself alive. If you're heading to the mountains, you'll want to dress warmly. Meanwhile, in the Swamps, make sure you have enough potions to survive being poisoned. In the end, you'll need the following amounts to  craft a Draugr Fang of your own back at your Forge:

Keep in mind that this will only craft the lowest possible quality of Draugr Fang bow. You'll need to power up your Forge by building Bellows, Forge Coolers, or Anvils nearby if you want a stronger Draugr Fang. Luckily, you don't have to craft an entirely new bow from scratch. You can always use a higher-tier Forge to upgrade your existing Draugr Fang.

It looks cool and might make it easier to see yourself when navigating darker areas. One thing to keep in mind is that a Draugr Fang bow will have a few different stats based on the bow's quality. As mentioned above, creating your bow at Forges of different levels will affect the outcome. While the raw pierce damage doesn't change too drastically between qualities, the bow does significantly more poison damage when it's a higher quality. Durability is also vastly improved if you have a higher-quality bow. However, even at the lowest possible quality, the Draugr Fang is a powerful addition to your arsenal.
