In particular, its full release, which occurred in June 2024, also brought the game to PlayStation 5 users, but cross-platform play wasn’t included in this launch. A recent interview with Wccftech solidified the stance of developer Stunlock Studios regarding V Rising and cross-platform play. The interviewer asked how likely this feature would be added to the game in future patches. The developer simply answered, "It seems pretty unlikely at this time." So, fans who are eagerly awaiting a chance to play V Rising and take advantage of cross-platform play features might have to wait longer than expected. For now, vampires can still play with their online friends, provided that every member in the V Rising server is using the same gaming environment.

Is V Rising Available for Xbox or Nintendo Switch?

Stunlock Studios also clarified their stance on bringing V Rising to other consoles aside from PC and PlayStation 5 in the same interview. The developer said that they’re focusing more on the success of the PC and PS5 versions before they move on to thinking about bringing V Rising to other gaming consoles, especially to Xbox and Nintendo Switch. Although it means that Xbox and Nintendo Switch players won’t be able to play V Rising anytime soon, Stunlock Studios aims to make the game as optimal and as stable as possible for the PC and PS5. That should also mean that the Xbox and Nintendo Switch versions of V Rising might have fewer performance issues than anticipated if they do eventually come to light.
