Terraria Truffle Worm Farming Guide: Location, Uses, & More
Publié le par
Players can unearth many secrets in Terraria, as some items can seemingly do more than meets the eye. One notable example is the Truffle Worm, which is not an ordinary fishing bait. It can summon an optional boss that players can farm for loot if used correctly. With that, continue reading to learn how to find Truffle Worms in Terraria.
Venture into the Glowing Mushroom biome in Hardmode to find, catch, and farm the Truffle Worm in Terraria. Like other in-game critters, you must use a Bug Net or any of its higher-tier variants to catch it. However, fast reflexes are a must when farming Truffle Worm, as it quickly burrows into the ground once it detects a nearby player.
Note: Getting a Truffle Worm or any boss-summoning item for the first time grants the "Like a Boss" achievement as of the Labor of Love Update.
Use speed-enhancing items, such as hooks, wings, and consumables, to help make the farming process less challenging than expected. Note that you only have about 1 second before the Truffle Worm burrows into the ground after it detects you. Thankfully, you can still catch it while it's in the middle of its burrowing animation.
Be warned, as certain attacks can inadvertently kill Truffle Worms. Summoned minions, especially those with area-of-effect attacks, may also accidentally exterminate the critters.
Tip: Use a Lifeform Analyzer to detect if a Truffle Worm is nearby.
The primary use of the Truffle Worm in Terraria is bait. In particular, players must use this unique bait to lure Duke Fishron, an optional boss located in the Ocean biome.
Although it belongs in the bait item category, players can't use Truffle Worm to catch normal fish except Duke Fishron. Using it as bait in an attempt to catch other fish ends in vain as the item bobs in and out of the water indefinitely.
Alternatively, players can keep a Truffle Worm in Terraria as decoration in their bases. Do this by crafting a Terrarium at the Furnace using 16x Glass. Then, craft 1x Truffle Worm with the Terrarium to create a Truffle Worm Cage.
