5: Character Creation

Hytale has many features to explore, but character creation will be the first thing every avatar experiences before stepping out the door. While this may seem standard in today’s age, Hytale has shown off in-depth customization, allowing for characters of all kinds, including entirely different species! Expect to see some absolutely wild faces.

4: Mod Tools

The Hytale development team has shared how important they feel a game’s modding community is alongside their plans to ensure official Hytale mod tools make modding easier than ever. The most showcased example of this is the model maker, which includes built-in modeling, texture, and animation tools.

3: Story Mode

Among all the things to do in Hytale, one will find the staple RPG adventure similar to Minecraft’s survival mode. However, Orbis comes with an overarching story involving a missing avatar who once claimed it as their own. Between the standard survival aspects, building, and creatures waiting to be met, countless secrets are ready to be discovered in many ways one would not expect.

2: Combat and Movement

Hytale’s combat and movement are already being put to the test, and with all their engine rework, it will be much more in-depth than what most survival games offer today. Completely excluding the parkour, dodging, and various forms of on-foot navigation, each weapon is designed to feel like its own class with a unique play-style available to all who have them in hand.

Finally, we have the gathering place of all avatars known as The Capital. This grand city will be the community center where players across the world can meet up, interact, and participate in minigames. A good way to think of it is if the Hypixel server was officially part of the game! That’s already exciting in and of itself, but with the Hytale development team entirely in control, one can only imagine the new minigames they will be able to create.
