Quartz is a fairly rare mid-game resource in Satisfactory. Pioneers generally have to process this raw mineral before using it (along with other items) to craft other items, including the Crystal Oscillator and Shatter Rebar. However, you must first farm Quartz in Satisfactory, and we're here to teach you how!

Satisfactory Quartz Node Locations (Pure, Normal, Impure)

Pioneers can farm raw Quartz in Satisfactory either by hand or by using a Miner. If it's the latter, it's advisable to use a Miner Mk. 3 as players can gather 100% more raw Quartz from gathering nodes than using a Miner Mk. 2. Additionally, using the Mk. 3 variant generates 400% more raw Quartz than a Miner Mk. 1. With that, you can use your preferred farming method at the following locations to collect raw Quartz in Satisfactory:

Eagle-eyed Pioneers should notice that the Quartz resources nodes in Satisfactory are few and far apart. It's ideal for players to place Miners in locations with more than one Quartz node. So, the best locations to farm Quartz in Satisfactory are the pure Nodes in the Rocky Desert and Red Jungle biomes.

Using Quartz in Satisfactory

As of Update 1.0, raw Quartz in Satisfactory can be used in a few crafting recipes, including the Quartz Crystal. However, additional crafting recipes are usable with the crafted Quartz Crystal as an ingredient. Alternatively, sink the raw Quartz into the AWESOME Sink to gain 15 points.
