Rust Arctic Research Base Guide: Puzzle Solution, Loot, & More
发布于 ,作者
Those who endure the various challenges waiting for them at the Arctic Research Base in Rust can claim their ultimate prize – the Snowmobile. However, you must defeat powerful enemies, deal with potential PvP threats, and protect yourself from icy winds to survive. So, keep reading to learn more about this monument, especially what to expect before engaging in its trials.
Nestled in the harsh, snowy edge of the Rust map lies the Arctic Research Base, a mid-tier monument brimming with opportunity and risk. Unlike other irradiated ruins, survivors also have to deal with Mother Nature and her icy wrath while staying in this snow-covered facility.
Nonetheless, those who brave the radiation and the bone-chilling cold will find a wealth of basic and military crates inside. Bravery might not be the only trait you must possess, as hostile scientists now run this seemingly abandoned base, with some even possessing powerful rifles.
Survivors won’t only deal with evil researchers, as this monument can also be the home of what could arguably be Rust’s strongest hostile animal – the Polar Bear. Still, the brave and the bold won’t only be rewarded with typical loot, such as Low-Grade Fuel, but solving the puzzle in the Arctic Research Base also rewards players with the coveted Snowmobile and many other chances at higher-tier loot with containers like military crates.
Before running the Rust Arctic Research Base Monument Puzzle, ensure that you have Blue Keycards. Thankfully, a fuse isn’t required for this particular puzzle. Also, it might be better to bring allies within the same Rust server, as this monument is crawling with scientists.
With that, consider clearing the area of any hostile players and NPCs that might prevent you from solving this puzzle. Then, make your way to the side wall of the left of the two garages to find the Blue Keycard access lock. Swipe the keycard to open the garage door.
Loot the crates in the garage. Next, head to the back of the garage to find a lone Red Keycard on top of a box. This top-tier keycard should also be next to a blueprint fragment.
Then, open the garage door on the right by scanning a Blue Keycard on the console next to the entryway. Inside is a snowmobile, which is yours for the taking. However, you can’t take it out of the garage without refueling it. So, sit on it, open the vehicle’s inventory, and feed it some Low-Grade Fuel.
Loot crate locations in the Arctic Research Base are, unfortunately, mostly random. Nonetheless, keep an eye out for various basic and military crates scattered throughout the monument, as they can contain high-tier loot that makes the clearout more worthwhile. Additionally, you can also find fuel barrels in the area, allowing easy access to Low-Grade Fuel in a pinch.
