Earlier this year, Enshrouded developer Keen Games announced that they’ll release the title via Early Access by the end of 2023. But a recent announcement has pushed this date window back, but given a firm release date that players can mark off on their calendars. Here's what we know about the new Enshrouded release date.

Keen Games has posted an announcement video on their official YouTube account revealing the new Enshrouded release date, January 24, 2024. This is a slight delay from the company's original "by 2023" launch window. A recent press release mentions that the developers chose this release date as “it was important to the team to carry the monumental success of the demo with a high-quality Early Access launch.” The team behind this game’s development shares the fans’ excitement, especially after the surprise success of the demo during the recent Steam Next Fest. The latest trailer also shows some of the game's features in action, highlighting various online co-op survival action RPG elements.

What to Expect in Enshrouded?

Enshrouded pays homage to beloved titles like Portal Knights, using that game as an inspiration and foundation for this ARPG’s various features. Players can expect the following elements when playing Enshrouded:

• Survival: Start with nothing and build your skills to survive the Shroud.
• Action-packed combat: Slash, duck, parry, and surprise enemies with unique fighting skills and powerful spells.
• Unique structures: Enshrouded uses a Voxel-based building system, similar to games like Astroneer. Unleash your creativity and create grand architectures or intricate systems.
• Crafting mastery: Craft and customize a massive range of armor and weapons to let opponents think twice about facing you.
• Online co-op: Each instance can hold up to 16 players in online co-op gameplay (something that mods may eventually increase).
