Minecraft Caves and Cliffs would’ve been the biggest update in the game’s history, but, after being split in half this year, it will come in two massive patches instead. We still have to wait for Caves and Cliffs part 2, but Caves and Cliffs part 1 has already arrived, and is captivating Minecraft players with tons of new features, including new mobs, blocks, items, some biomes, and more.

Players will have plenty of time to take in the new content from part 1, as part 2 is set to arrive in the Holiday season at the end of the year.

So why the extra delay? Part 2 will be stacked with massive changes down to the core of the game. So let’s get to the content we expect to see.

There are no official patch notes just yet, and we won’t expect anything to be confirmed for some time.

But despite no final breakdown from Mojang, we can assess what will make the second Caves and Cliffs update based on what was left out from the overall update in part 1, as well as some hints from the developers so far.
