Minecraft has many different events throughout the year, but none bring a fright as well as Spookyfest!

Spookyfest is the Minecraft world’s celebration of Halloween, an event that brings all kinds of new content to Minecraft, and Minecraft Dungeons as well with Spookier Fall.

Here’s everything you can expect from Minecraft Spookyfest 2021!

Start Date

Minecraft Spookyfest 2021 began on October 1st. It will run all the way through October with some content available into early November.

Minecraft Spookier Fall will start a bit later, and Mojang will offer more specifics over the course of October.

Minecraft Spookyfest Content

From new skins to new character creators - Spookyfest promises some great new content this year.

These are the Minecraft Marketplace content drops we know of so far:

• October 13th: The Spooky Gourdian – a free Minecraft Dungeons-inspired Character Creator item based on the Jack-O-Lantern (free until November 2)
• October 19th: The Cauldron Cover – a paid Minecraft Dungeons-inspired Character Creator item based on the Cauldron
• October 26th: Halloween Fiends – a free skin pack (free until November 2)

Beyond this, Mojang also already offers a new scary-good deal for purchasing certain items from Halloweencostumes.com, the Minecraft Crafty Costumes Skin Pack for free with some Bedrock Edition goodies.

With the theme and length of Spookyfest, we also expect some surprises along the way as well. And beyond Mojang, custom map makers will also offer some new Halloween adventures that players can brave.

Spookier Fall

While Spookyfest covers all kinds of Minecraft content, Spookier Fall will be the Halloween event for Minecraft Dungeons specifically.

Spooky Fall debuted last year as the first rendition of the seasonal Minecraft Dungeons event. We can expect much bigger things with Spookier Fall now that the game has evolved with plenty of new DLC.

Mojang has not revealed what new content will arrive with Spookier Fall in Minecraft Dungeons yet. We’ve been promised new scarier adventures, and some new gear as well, but that may not be all!
