Satisfactory is filled with satisfying factory-building gameplay, and it's only better with friends! While you and your pals have been able to enjoy the factory crafting process on PC for a while, console players can finally jump in on the fun! Is Satisfactory Cross Platform?

As of November 4, 2025, Satisfactory is available on PC, PlayStation 5, & Xbox Series X|S. Unfortunately, as far as cross-platform play is concerned, Satisfactory does not allow PC and console players to play together. So it doesn't offer comprehensive crossplay. Additionally, this means that the game doesn't allow cross-progression between PC and console either. Any in-game progress will not be carried over to the console version. Sadly, this might not be the news that some players wanted to hear, but there are some silver linings! While cross-platform play between PC and console isn't possible, PlayStation and Xbox players can play together! Additionally, PC players on Steam and the Epic Games Store can play together. Is it possible that PC and console will have an update for crossplay in the future? It doesn't seem likely. The developers give answers as to the technical reasons and limitations in a YouTube video. The primary reason for this is tied to the customizability of Satisfactory on PC. The addition of mods to the game can cause things to become unstable, and the developers didn't feel that this would mesh well with the console release. Additionally, the amount of dev work and optimization required for crossplay would be enormous. The developers don't rule out the possibility of crossplay in the distant future, but for now, cross-platform play for Satisfactory is not an option. Until then, at least console players can enjoy playing with their friends on both PlayStation and Xbox!
