What is Rune Song in Core Keeper?

Introduced during the first release of the game’s early access, Rune Song is a legendary weapon in Core Keeper that won’t break because of its infinite durability, much like the Soul Seeker pickaxe. It also has enough melee power to defeat many enemies, especially low-level creatures, with one strike! This weapon’s stats and effects are as follows:

• Melee damage: 204 to 248
• Attack rate: 2.5 per second
• Effects: +62 max health, +3 life healed for each melee hit, and +15% chance to instantly kill any target with lower health than the wielder

Rune Song Crafting Requirements

To craft Rune Song, first, buy the Rune Parchment consumable crafting station from the Caveling Merchant for 2,000 Ancient Coins. Remember that this item will only become available after activating The Core. Next, gather the following materials:

• 1x Broken Handle
• 1x Chipped Blade
• 1x Clear Gemstone
• 50x Iron Bar
• 10x Ancient Gemstone

Find the Broken Handle by opening Ancient, Locked Scarlet, and Standard Chests. Alternatively, defeat the bosses The Hive Mother, Haunted Hive Mother, Azeos the Sky Titan, or Awakened Azeos for this item. For the Chipped Blade, find it in a small sealed ruin in the Azeos’ Wilderness biome. You must open this area with a Glow Tulip. As for the Clear Gemstone, it’s a dynamically spawned item in either the Azeos’ Wilderness or Forgotten Ruins biomes. Note that only one Clear Gemstone can spawn per world seed. Craft the Iron Bar by transmuting Iron Ore at the Furnace. The Ancient Gemstone can be found in various chests, or bought from the Caveling Merchant for 60 Ancient Coins per piece. It’s also important to mention that the Caveling Merchant only has five Ancient Gemstones in stock, so plan accordingly! Note: Acquire “The Rune Song” achievement when you craft this weapon for the first time.
