Who is Maja the Dark Savant in V Rising?

Added in the Gloomrot update, Maja the Dark Savant is a brilliant yet obsessive scholar who uses her ingenuity, knowledge, and wits to take down opposing vampires. This Level 47 V Blood Carrier or Boss aims to discover the secrets hidden by her family bloodline. Maja believes that no one or anything can stop her from achieving her goals.

Like Baron du Bouchon, players can find Maja in one spot. In particular, she’s in a specific room in the Forbidden Tower northeast of Dunley Farmlands.

Maja the Dark Savant Attacks and Fight Strategies

Maja the Dark Servant is a formidable boss and not to be trifled with. She has a repertoire of attacks that can overshadow many other bosses, including some at higher levels than her. Maja’s move set is as follows:

• Book Shield: Maja takes cover behind a large book to defend against attacks.
• Ink Demons: Summons an army of ink demons that chases and attacks her opponents.
• Summon Paper: Rows of paper appear in the arena, damaging those that touch them.
• Teleport: Maja swiftly moves away from her book shield to evade attacks. She’ll typically use this move when she has low health.
• Paper Blast: Vampires who get too close to Maja will be pushed back by exploding paper.
• Book Healing: Maja’s book heals the boss and any summoned ink demon within range by 20 HP.

If you have a sufficiently high gear level, Maja’s attacks might not be as problematic as expected. Nonetheless, the things she throws at you can quickly fill your screen. So, you must defeat her as fast as possible to survive the chaos. If you can, change your Blood Type to Creature or Warrior. The former can help reduce damage and increase parry chance. On the other hand, the latter can help increase your vampire’s evasive maneuvers. Additionally, if you already killed the Level 44 V Blood Boss Kriig the Undead General, you should have the spell Ward of the Damned. This Unholy Magic can block melee and projectile attacks for two seconds. Additionally, it absorbs attacks from summoned minions, making it an invaluable spell against Maja’s Ink Demons. As for your offensive spells, the Chaos Volley is a great option. It inflicts 110% magic damage to hit enemies. Plus, you fling two projectiles per cast. Also, don’t be too greedy with your melee attacks. Strike once or twice, then back away and reposition. Otherwise, Maja won’t hesitate to damage and push you back with her Paper Blast. Take it slow, have patience, and persevere; eventually, the Dark Savant will fall, and you can claim your just rewards.

Defeating Maja the Dark Savant in V Rising will yield three rewards to vampires that kill her. These prizes are the following:

• Veil of Illusion: An illusory spell that lets a vampire dash in a preferred direction. Then, the character gains a buff, increasing the next inflicted damage by 25%. It also inflicts the Weaken debuff on the hit enemy. Additionally, this spell spawns an illusion that launches Weaken-inflicting projectiles to enemies. Can be recast.
• Study Recipe: A building that consumes Scrolls to unlock random blueprints.
• Scroll Recipe: A resource used in the Study.
