Terraria 1.4.5.8 Update: Patch Notes, Content Changes, & More
Pubblicato il da
Re-Logic recently released Version 1.4.5.7 for Terraria, and less than a week later, the developer launched the 1.4.5.8 update. But unlike the patch before it, which adds many new items and improvements to the game, this time it focuses on meaningful changes and fixes.
The Terraria 1.4.5.8 update is a hotfix centered on cleaning up specific issues, some of which appeared from the previous patch. In particular, this update makes two notable gameplay adjustments.
First, the Clay Bud, a pre-Hardmode summoner’s weapon introduced in Version 1.4.5.7, should now consistently knock enemies away from the player. Next is the Last Prism’s laser, which now has a visual representation when the user’s mana is insufficient.
Other than these two changes, Version 1.4.5.8 for Terraria introduces a host of meaningful bug fixes. One important fix concerns the Mana Regeneration Band, as previous stacking behavior could allow players to maximize their mana regeneration while continuously attacking, leading to infinite loops. The update removes this exploit while preserving the intended stacking effect.
Then there’s the Acorn Slingshot, which became an unlikely star of the 1.4.5.7 update. Before patch 1.4.5.8, this weapon, under certain conditions, would fire projectiles that could enter recursive interactions, resulting in extremely erratic behavior. If left alone, the events can potentially cause crashes. Version 1.4.5.8 fixes this issue, meaning players in Terraria servers should no longer worry about this humble slingshot turning into a potential crash trigger.
