Completionists and achievement hunters might have trouble triggering some trophies in DayZ. So, here’s a list of achievements in DayZ and how to trigger each trophy.

It’s important to mention that trophies in DayZ won't trigger when playing in community servers. Ensure you're in one of the official servers to trigger each trophy. Also, the trophies are the same for all DayZ versions, including its PlayStation and Xbox variants.

Act of Mercy

• Description: Killed my first infected.
• How to Get: Kill your first zombie with any equipped weapon, including fists.

Bodily Needs

• Description: Ate and drank something.
• How to Get: Consume any food, including the fruit or vegetable in your inventory, upon starting a new character. Then, find and consume a drink, preferably clean water. This trophy might be tougher to get in some maps, such as the upcoming Badlands map.

Geared

• Description: Equipped a firearm, a melee weapon, and a backpack.
• How to Get: As mentioned in the achievement's description, equip one firearm, a melee weapon, and a backpack to trigger this DayZ trophy. Police stations and army checkpoints are generally your best options to find these items.

Pacify

• Description: Killed an infected soldier.
• How to Get: Search and kill an undead soldier wearing a military uniform. Like the Geared trophy, the ideal location to trigger this DayZ trophy is at an army checkpoint.

Field Cook

• Description: Cooked a steak on a stick.
• How to Get: Gather five items: a sharp weapon (axe or knife), a steak, a long, sharpened stick, a fire starter, and a fireplace. Once gathered, start the fire at the fireplace and jab the stick into the steak. Cook the steak to receive the achievement.

Lobotomy

• Description: Killed twenty survivors or infected with a headshot.
• How to Get: Progress through the map and defeat survivors or zombies with a headshot. It's ideal not to use weapons that can make it more difficult to get this DayZ trophy, such as fists and shotguns.

Babyface

• Description: Shaved my face.
• How to Get: Spawn into the game as a male character. Then, wait about 90 in-game minutes. Next, equip a bladed weapon and select the “Shave” option to trigger the achievement.

Natural Instincts

• Description: Gutted a deer.
• How to Get: Getting this trophy with a good, long-range weapon, such as a scoped rifle, can be easier than expected. Kill a deer from afar, and walk toward the animal's carcass. Then, use an axe or knife to gut the deer.

I’m the Firestarter

• Description: Ignited fire using a matchbox, a road flare, and a hand drill.
• How to Get: Start a fire using the specified items: a matchbox, a road flare, and a hand drill.

Marksman

• Description: Killed a survivor at more than three hundred meters.
• How to Get: It’s ideal to get this trophy with allies in a DayZ server, since the 300-meter distance requirement can be tough while playing solo. Have your teammate signal you when a target is far away. Then, shoot the target using a good, scoped rifle.

Note: Getting this DayZ trophy may need several tries.

Close and Personal

• Description: Killed fifteen survivors with any melee weapon.
• How to Get: Like getting the Marksman trophy, triggering this DayZ achievement can be easier with allies. Collaborate with your teammates to down 15 targets. Then, hit the downed players with a melee weapon until they die.

Heal the World

• Description: Applied bandages to other survivors thirty times.
• How to Get: Stop the bleeding of other players 30 times. It can be easy to get this DayZ trophy by downing and healing one player repeatedly until you trigger the achievement.

You Have the Right…

• Description: Handcuffed ten people.
• How to Get: It might be easier than usual to trigger this achievement with a microphone and voice chat. Cuff ten people using items like rope, wire, duct tape, or handcuffs upon making them surrender.
