How to Find & Kill Seekers in Valheim
Where to Find Seekers
The giant creepy-crawlies known as Seekers inhabit the Mistlands biome in Valheim. Head in there, and you're likely to see plenty of the bugs. They're not docile by any means, and they will rush you if you enter their field of vision. Typically, they travel in pairs, and there are three main varieties of seekers:- Seeker: The average Seeker, which can fly and close the gap between itself and its prey very quickly.
- Seeker Soldier: Stronger, larger, and covered in armor. They don't fly, but do have fleshy weak spots on their buggy behinds.
- Seeker Brood: These tiny babies only spawn within Infested Mines dungeons. They don't do much damage with their bites, but a whole swarm combined with mature Seekers can be a handful.
Killing Seekers
However, when you're fighting her offspring, keep a few things in mind. First, they can all hit hard. As a result, the Mistlands aren't a place you should head into without hard-hitting weaponry of your own and suitably protective armor. As always in Vlaheim, eating a hardy meal can give you some much-needed extra health as well, so make sure you maintain high-tier food buffs throughout your time here. Second, while the Seekers and Seeker Soldiers differ a bit, they attack much the same way. Because they're so aggressive, you'll want to wait for them to attack before striking back. Stay just out of reach and use a dodge roll to get to their sides or behind them as they whiff a ground slam or swipe with their legs. As they recover and turn toward you, that's your chance to strike. Of course, if you're using ranged weaponry, you can kite average Seekers and pluck away their health from afar. This tactic is much harder on the armored soldiers, however. Unless you have a friend playing alongside you and getting the soldier's attention, you won't have a clear shot at their abdomen. This means the best way to kill a soldier is to get up close and personal with melee weaponry. Just make sure you can block, parry, or dodge its attacks.Seekers Drops & Crafting Recipes
