Valheim PS5 Release Date

A September 16 announcement highlighted the news about the inevitable release of Valheim for the PlayStation 5 in 2026. However, the exact launch date of Valheim for the PS5 has yet to be revealed. However, we may speculate that this release should come about 5 to 9 months after the recent launch of the Call to Arms Update, considering Valheim’s updates go live within that time frame.

Full Crossplay

The upcoming release of Valheim for the PS5 should also enable the game's full crossplay capabilities. That way, PS5 players can seamlessly join their friends’ worlds and servers on PC and Xbox. This expansion should unite Valheim communities across all devices, broadening the game’s reach to new heights.

The Deep North Biome

Iron Gate Studio, Valheim’s developing studio, also included in their announcement that the development of the Deep North, the snowy biome, is steadily advancing. It’s speculated that this region should also arrive with the game’s official 1.0 release. This arctic expanse should also introduce new enemies, items, and neutral wildlife.

Version 1.0

Valheim’s long-awaited Version 1.0 release should arrive with its debut on the PS5. This release also marks the end of the game’s Early Access journey that began in 2021. Additionally, Version 1.0 and the PS5 release should come with the much-awaited list of achievements, much to the joy of completionists. According to a message in the game's official Discord, "Our plan with 1.0 is that the game will be finalized when it comes to the game designed content. We plan to add achievements and we dont want those to change over time. So doing a change on early - mid - late game is played will not change after 1.0.”
