Since V Rising Update 1.0, late-game vampires can engage in a challenging activity called Rift Incursions. These PvE world events will test your vampiric prowess to see if you can survive the most formidable challenges that V Rising has to offer! Of course, one can't simply waltz into a Rift Incursion unprepared, so we have gathered all the necessary information on how to best these trials yourself.

V Rising Rift Incursions & How They Work

Rift Incursions, as mentioned above, are world events. They will pit you against a large army of Dracula's creatures, monsters, and followers. Killing enough enemies will destroy blood crystals that spawn during the event, and the event will end when all crystals have been destroyed. With the crystals destroyed, you'll face off against a brutal difficulty variant of a random V Blood boss. This boss will be called either a Lesser or Primal Blood Soul. When this Blood Soul is defeated, the event will end. When Rift Incursions happen, it's exclusively in the portion of the map called Ruins of Mortium. Finding events, however, requires a bit of work. First, you must craft an Eye of Mortium. This is a functional decoration you can build in your castle, and you'll unlock the recipe for it by upgrading your Castle Heart to level 3. With the recipe in hand, you can slap together an Eye of Mortium with the following ingredients:

• 4x Iron Ingot
• 4x Scourgestone
• 20x Scroll

Once built, your Eye of Mortium will highlight all upcoming Rift Incursions on your world map while your castle and said Eye are in the Ruins of Mortium region. You can even see the difficulty tier for upcoming events. If you're tackling a tier one Rift Incursion, you'll want to be near level 57. Tier 2 is significantly tougher; you should aim to be around level 83.

V Rising Rift Incursion Rewards

You can expect different rewards based on the tier of Rift Incursion that you complete. Tier 1 rewards aren't as rare as tier 2, but completing tier 1 Rift Incursions is still worth your time! Except for some possible Blueprints, your rewards can be used to further customize your vampire to be even stronger in combat. Stygian Shards, for example, can be used to unlock various passive abilities. Look below to see what you can expect to receive when completing a Rift Incursion.

Tier 1 Rift Incursion Rewards

• Stygian Shards (The amount varies based on the number of players participating in the Rift Incursion event.)
• High chance of Tier 2 Jewels and low chance of Tier 3 Jewels.
• 20% chance to get random Study Blueprint.
• 66.6% chance to get a Rare Weapon Shard.

Tier 2 Rift Incursion Rewards

• Greater Stygian Shards (The amount varies based on the number of players participating in the Rift Incursion event.)
• High chance of Tier 2 Jewels, medium chance of Tier 3 Jewels, and a very low chance of Tier 4 Jewels.
• 21% chance to get a random Athenaeum Blueprint.
• 66.6% chance to get a Rare Weapon Shard, 18.4% chance to get an Epic Weapon Shard, and a 15% chance to get a Legendary Artifact Shard.
• +5 liters refill of current Blood Pool and +750 Soul Shard durability upon feeding on the Primal Blood Soul.
