In The Forest, you're constantly fighting for survival and the next item could mean the difference between living and being captured. If the stress of that situation is getting to you, or if you'd just like a nice little boost, you can always use item IDs to spawn items to get ahead! With these, you'll be able to add whatever item you'd like straight to your inventory without any crafting, exploring, or additional fuss. We've got the full item ID list down below, and we'll tell you how to use these handy codes as well!

How to Use Item IDs in The Forest

Before you can enter any of The Forest item IDs, you'll need to know where to enter the IDs. Here's what you'll have to do:

• While running The Forest, select 'Options'
• Select the section marked 'Gameplay'
• Turn the setting 'Allow Cheats' to 'On'
• In the game's main menu, type 'developermodeon'
  • There isn't a box or window where you'll type this. Simply type it while on the main menu.
• Press 'F1' on your keyboard and the game's console will open.
• Use this in your game, enter a code on the console, and press 'Enter'

That's all there is to it! When you're using the item IDs, the console command you'll have to use for each one is 'additem' followed by the number assigned to an item. Additionally, you can use the commands 'spawnitem' and 'removeitem' combined with an item's number to either spawn or remove items, respectively.
