There's no shortage of unique items and resources to craft in Enshrouded. Some craftables can make farming easier, some can make explosives, some can make dyes... and Nitrate can do all three! With this guide, we'll tell you how to get your hands on Nitrate in Enshrouded, everything you can craft with it, and more!

How to Craft Nitrate in Enshrouded

Most recipes in Enshrouded need to be unlocked, and you'll naturally unlock the recipe for crafting Nitrate as you progress through the Alchemist's quest line. Of course, first you need to find the Alchemist! If you haven't saved him already, you can find the Alchemist at the Ancient Vault in the Springlands. Inside the vault, you'll need to dispatch a few enemies and follow a winding path that leads to a glowing pod. Interact with this pod, and Balthazar the Alchemist will be freed. You can then summon him back to your base and speak with him to start his quests. The last part of his quest line will see you sent into the Kindlewastes to gather ingredients for crafting an alchemical Laboratory. Once it's created, you will receive a list of recipes for your own alchemical creations including one for Nitrate. Here's the recipe for Nitrate so you can stock up necessary supplies even before finishing the Alchemist's quests:

This recipe will create five bottles of Nitrate, and that's good because these ingredients aren't exactly close to one another. You can find salt in the Egerton salt mines in the western portion of the Springlands. Both Sand and Shroud Sand will require a trip to the Kindlewastes, and Wood Acid can be crafted at a charcoal kiln with a different recipe you'll acquire from the Blacksmith's quest line.
