Publicado el por
Eventually, a pirate’s story must come to an end, but it doesn’t have to be at Davy Jones’s locker. As of the current build of Windrose Early Access, the final boss that stands in your way of absolute victory is the High Priestess. This guide shows you the boss’s location, tips on how to defeat her, and more!

Like Thomas Richards and Israel Hands, the High Priestess stands at the end of a main questline. This time, it’s the “Forgotten Relics” quest, and it begins after talking to John post-Israel Hands boss fight.
Finishing the conversation with John triggers the next objective: “Find and search the priestess's chambers.” So, board your ship, and head for the marker indicated on your map. Upon arrival, defeat the hostiles blocking your path. Travel to the top of the ruins after defeating the enemies.
Here, interact with the Clay Tablet structure to receive a tablet. Return to John at camp afterward. John then tells you to look for other, similar items, which will now be revealed as the Senkamati Clay Tablets.
At this point, the current objective should say, “Hunt for four more Senkamati tablets.” Doing so should also place four new markers on your map.
Travel to each location and retrieve the Senkamati tablets. Be warned: hostile guards are at each ancient ruin, holding a tablet. So, bring many healing items, if necessary.
Additionally, two of the four locations increase the Tainted meter. Death awaits anyone who lets this gauge fill to the brim. Focus on nothing but the tablets upon entering these regions to avoid an early grave.
Return to John after retrieving the four tablets. This time, he tells you to inspect three murals. So, travel to the new map marker, indicating the location of a ritual site. It’s another tainted forest, so focus on the main objective as much as you can.
Examine the altar at the end of the ancient ruin to receive the Enchanted Ritual Dagger. Exit the location as quickly as possible. Remember, it’s not necessary to deal with any hostile trying to kill you in this region.
With the Enchanted Ritual Dagger in your inventory, the current objective should now read, “Find the priestess's resting place and recover Charon's Obol.” Again, head to the new map marker to find a large arena. Here, interact with the Cursed Plant at the center of a large arena to summon the final boss of Windrose Early Access, the High Priestess.

Return to base before interacting with the Cursed Plant to gain the Rested buff. If active, this buff grants increased natural stamina regeneration, which is invaluable for this boss fight.
Additionally, consider consuming any of the following food items to temporarily enhance your stats:

The High Priestess shows herself as a large, frog-like entity. Also, unlike the previous bosses in Windrose, the High Priestess boss fight has a unique mechanic.
In particular, the boss periodically develops glowing, yellow pustules on her body. Hitting these “pimples” depletes a huge chunk of the boss’s poise. Exhaust the High Priestess’s shields to stagger her, exposing the boss’s weak spot. Attack this weak point to deal more damage than simply hitting her hard shell.
Over time, the boss closes her mouth, hiding the weak spot. Repeat the process until you can deplete her entire health bar.
Of course, the High Priestess won’t be standing and waiting for you to kill it. Instead, this boss proactively moves around the arena, making it tough for you to hit the pustules. Additionally, the High Priestess’s body takes up more screen space than the previous bosses, making evasion more difficult than normal.
With that, the moves to watch out for are the following:

With that, the moves to watch out for are the following:
- Giant Lunge: An unblockable lunging attack that beelines to the player’s position.
- Tainted Spit: The High Priestess spits out one to three balls of tainted mass, which increases the Tainted gauge on hit.
- Arm Swings: The boss swings one or both of her arms, attempting to “slap” the player. This move can also end with a powerful slam attack.
- Tongue Swipe: The boss opens her mouth and flicks her tongue at the player.
- Tail Spin: An unblockable tail-spinning move that covers a wide area of the arena.
- Body Slam: The High Priestess jumps and attempts to flatten the player with her body. A variation of this move exists, in which the boss lies on her side when the player is nearby.
