What's New in the Unturned California 2 Update?

After six years of work, the California 2 curated map is ready for you and your friends! For those unaware, a curated map in Unturned is a community-led project. Specifically, one that is high-quality enough to get an official stamp of approval and even a bit of development help from the Unturned team. With California 2, its creators and the developers behind Unturned have created one of the game's biggest and most content-rich maps ever. As one could guess from the 2 in its name, California 2 is a sequel to the popular California 1 map, and this time it's almost six times bigger. California 2 is great for PvP players, but it's also PvE friendly with more than 100 different quests and storylines to follow either alone or with friends. When you think you've finally seen everything there is to do, you'll be ready for the deep endgame progression that promises even bigger and better rewards. In addition to the new features listed above, here are some more new additions to look forward to when you jump in:

Unturned California 2 Changelog

There aren't many changes or fixes in this update, as the developers have stated that most changes to the California 2 map were made over the past four years. Here's a list of all the changes and fixes that are included:

Changes

• Slightly improved performance for maps with high (1K+) zombie counts.
• Lowered stacked Experience Beret hour counts to line up with 2x, 3x, & 4x.

Fixed

• Custom asset bundles in Unturned/Bundles folder incorrectly overriding core asset bundle.
• Capturing cosmetic preview for items containing world-space particles.
• Symbiont Peacemaker skin emissive texture.
• Spike in terrain on Yukon near the coast.
• Order of items null checks in drop item request.
• Kick cheaters sending unrequested screenshots to server.
• Toy Ace, Sweet Sprinkles Avenger, Toy Avenger, Banana Desert Falcon, Old Soldier Desert Falcon, Yellowcake Maschinengewehr, and Yellowcake Yuri skin emissive textures.
• Clothing takes priority over cosmetics, transfers mythical positioning.
