So, keep reading this guide to learn how to farm Scrap in Rust, and get all the essential items and structures before your opponents.

Players can find Scrap through normal progression, such as in barrels and crates. However, these containers generally don’t have much Scrap that’ll allow you to research high-tier blueprints or purchase expensive items outright.

- Use the Metal Detector for a chance to get 7 to 13x Scrap for each yield.
- Catch specific fish, particularly the Catfish, Salmon, Orange Roughby, and Small Shark, for a chance to get 6x Scrap per fish reeled.
- Specific missions, like the Boar and Deer Hunt missions from the Hunter, let you earn 100x Scrap per quest completion.
