Dune: Awakening Release Date, Platforms, & Editions

Ready to start hunting for spice and running from sandworms? Don't worry! You don't have to wait long, as the Dune: Awakening release date will be June 10th on Steam. While we don't have a fixed release date for the game on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S, we know that it will be released to these systems in the future. Over on Steam, you can pre-purchase the game now for $49.99. However, you can also purchase the Deluxe Edition for $69.99 or the Ultimate Edition for $89.99. Dune: Awakening - Planned Content & Features

In the beginning, you'll be nothing more than a prisoner. However, with time, you will uncover the secrets of the Fremen, choose a side in the violent struggle between Atreides and Harkonnen, and make a name for yourself in the scorching sands of Arrakis. To do this, you'll have to do three things: survive, explore, and discover. Dune: Awakening is a survival game. As a result, you have to stay out of the sweltering heat as much as possible. Managing your thirst is also crucial if you don't want to end up face down in the sand. You'll also have no shortage of enemies to blast or cut to pieces as you're dodging sandstorms and the famously enormous sandworms. To stay alive, you must comb every inch of the planet for valuable materials and gear. Dive into caves, trade and talk with traders, and take to the sky in an ornithopter. You don't want to have to walk everywhere! How you play Dune: Awakening is entirely up to you. You'll choose which Great School of the Imperium you belong to, how to fight your enemies, and what skills you'll level up. With a full arsenal of ranged and melee weaponry, an assortment of advanced technology, the ability to craft and build structures, and fully customizable vehicles, your legend on Arrakis is entirely one of your own creation. Apparently, the best part of living out your life on Arrakis is that you don't have to do it alone. You and your friends can explore the persistent online world with thousands of other players at the same time. You can engage in PvP, create settlements or fortresses with the co-op building system, form a guild, or enjoy the social aspects of gaming alongside friends. However, you and your pals play is in your hands! Prepare to make your mark on Arrakis when Dune: Awakening launches this summer.

Post-Launch Support

Unlike other MMOs, Dune: Awakening will not require a monthly subscription. Additionally, the game is not launching into early access. The release on June 10 is the launch of the game's 1.0 build. Additionally, Dune: Awakening is being designed as a game that will receive constant updates in the future. As a result, here are some of the updates we can expect after the game has been released:

• Regular free updates including new content, features, and quality of life improvements.
• Optional DLCs.
• Major free updates to expand the story and add new features.
• A season pass that will include all paid-for DLC.
