Set five years after the outbreak that nearly wiped out Chernarus, the DayZ map Livonia features dense jungles, deep overgrowths, and various unique points of interest (POIs). As the area is heavily wooded, one wrong move can lead to certain doom. So, prepare yourself by understanding the Livonia map in DayZ through this guide, as we discuss its POIs, locations, and more!

What is the Livonia Map in DayZ?

DayZ Livonia Map Guide Livonia is a DLC map for DayZ, and it’s set in a post-Soviet region. It replaces the coastal sprawl seen in Chernarus with densely forested regions, complete with an inland river-spawn system. While survivors check closets and drawers in Chernarus, foraging and hunting are heavily emphasized in Livonia. Covering about 163 km², Livonia’s land mass is more compact than Chernarus's. Yet, this land feels larger, thanks to its thick trees and winding rivers. The overgrowth can become a sniper’s worst nightmare, as a clear shot at an enemy becomes a luxury. Frequent rainfall, aggressive animals, and a scarcity of obvious landmarks make the Livonia map in DayZ a test of navigation and endurance. This region rewards the patient and punishes the careless. Here, expect to find different types of POIs, including the following:
  • Military Institutions (e.g., airfields, prisons, and bunkers)
  • Civilian Towns
  • Hunting Cabins
  • Summer Camps
  • Quarries
  • Industrial Sites
  • Dynamic Toxic Zones

Livonia POIs and Locations

Gliniska Airfield
This northern airfield is one of two static toxic zones in Livonia. Located northeast of Topolin, a permanent shroud surrounds the Gliniska Airfield, requiring survivors to wear full NBC gear to survive this location. Once prepared, head inside to find military-infected soldiers. Deal with these hostiles appropriately to earn top-tier weapons, such as the M4 and SVAL. Unlike the map’s dense jungle, the Gliniska Airfield offers minimal cover. So, prepare for PvP ambushes from afar. Have an ally in your DayZ server to cover your six always to ensure no one jumps you while looting the area.
Radunin
With Gliniska Airfield being the first of the two static toxic zones in Livonia, Radunin is the second. This village in the central corridor between Lembork and Nadbór also requires full NBC gear. However, Radunin’s layout prioritizes close-quarters combat, which also makes infected control more challenging than normal. Some DayZ players may even consider Radunin to be the true endgame zone. With this POI sitting deep into the map, it forces survivors to haul loot south. However, this design makes bears, bandits, and enemy players lie in wait for anyone foolish enough to run through this passage unprepared.
Dambog Underground Bunker
DayZ players craving for high-risk, high-reward locations in Livonia may consider paying a visit to the Dambog Underground Bunker. This POI has two entrances, with the first one being the main door that requires a punched card. As for the other entryway, it requires a teammate and some strategic player placement to enter the location through the tower. Darkness reigns in the Dambog Underground Bunker, requiring players to bring NVGs or head-torches. Tread carefully, and solve the puzzles within. Best these challenges to collect high-tier loot, including the AUR AX, PO-X vials, and tactical helmets with night vision.
Swarog Military Base
South of the center of the Livonia map is the Swarog Military Base. It’s also the map’s largest surface military installation. Here, you’ll find barracks, tents, and watchtowers spread across a wide compound. Those who wish to dominate this POI can take advantage of the high vantage points to ensure other players wish they were someplace else. With the Swarog Military Base lying close to the middle of the map, it’s a PvP magnet, making it fit for thrill-seeking survivors. Approach it, and you should hear sounds of fighting and gunfire from other players.
Nadbor
Fresh spawns looking for early-game gear can visit Nadbor, Livonia’s largest civilian town. Located south of the map, this area features POIs such as a police station, water pump, and medical clinic. Multiple two-story houses sprawl across the area, making them ideal temporary bases for new players. However, since Nadbor is a new survivor magnet, it often hosts unofficial contests between players. So, expect multiple PvP encounters in this area, even though both parties may not have the best gear equipped at the time of confrontation.
Topolin & Branzów Castle
Opposite of Nadbor is Topolin, the largest settlement in the north. Like Nadbor, Topolin is home to multiple POIs, including a hospital and a police station. It also has many civilian housing with various loot ripe for the picking. Aside from those POIs, Topolin is also home to the only castle in the DayZ Livonia map – Branzów Castle. This dilapidated yet massive establishment is a survivor’s resting point. Filled with various hiding places, it offers weary players a place to rest and hide from the constant adrenaline rush of fighting for their lives.
Kopa Prison
Travel northeast to find Kopa Prison, a fortified compound surrounded by high walls and barbed wire. As it’s a military institution, enter it to find army-themed loot, such as rifles, pistols, and ammunition. While loot in Kopa Prison is plentiful, the location is also home to many infected. Attempting a solo run to clear this place is often seen as suicide. So, request help from other players on the DayZ server to deal with hostiles in this area and share the rewards with them.
Glinska Military Depot
Southeast of the airfield is the Glinska Military Depot, a fairly quiet resupply point for players traveling south. While the place is relatively small, it features a handful of barracks and tents. These shelters often hold early-game equipment, such as SMGs, military clothing, and some ammunition.
