5. Zombie Survival

The fifth most active game mode in Garry’s Mod is Zombie Survival! Using the assets of Half-Life 2 and Counter-Strike Source, players must purchase guns, ammo, and other items with in-game currency before doing their best to survive against player-controlled zombies.

4. Trouble in Terrorist Town

Trouble in Terrorist Town places multiple Counter-Strike Source terrorists within one lobby where seemingly nothing is going on. However, among them are up to four traitors, which the innocent terrorists and detective terrorists must eliminate before they are killed first.

3. Sandbox

Sandbox is the default game mode of Garry’s Mod and leaves much of its fun up to the player’s imagination. Spawn vehicles and race, have a gunfight with an army of NPCs, or drop explosives everywhere simply because you can. It is entirely up to you and your friends!

2. StarWarsRP

Have you ever wanted to live the life of a Jedi or Sith? Well, with StarWarsRP, you can experience it in real time! Many subgenres exist within SarWarsRP, depending mainly on the era of Star Wars, so pick your favorite period in the lore and find a server that focuses on the aspects of roleplay you most enjoy.

Finally, at number one, we have DarkRP! This game mode typically involves getting a job within a city and working your way up the ranks as a citizen, criminal, or member of the police. Depending on the server, some will be more roleplay-focused, while others will take things casually. Together with friends or alone, DarkRP is a fantastic way to jump into the world of online roleplaying!
