Finding Pumpkin & Melon Seeds

The first step to creating a pumpkin and melon farm is finding their seeds, which may not be as easy as it seems. Below, we have listed all the pumpkin and melon seed sources found throughout the game. Pumpkin Seeds:

Manual Minecraft Pumpkin & Melon Farm

The manual method for farming pumpkins and melons is very simple and can be done using the layout below:

• Line 1: Tilled Soil
• Line 2: Grass or Dirt
• Line 3: Grass or Dirt
• Line 4: Tilled Soil
• Line 5: Water
• Line 6: Tilled Soil
• Line 7: Grass or Dirt
• Line 8: Grass or Dirt
• Line 9: Tilled Soil

The width of each line is entirely up to preference as long as all of them match in size. Once done, plant pumpkin or melon seeds in lines one, four, six, and nine. They will eventually grow into a large stem that slowly produces pumpkins and melons in the grass and dirt blocks that border them. An axe enchanted with efficiency and fortune (for the melons) is the fastest and most efficient way to harvest pumpkins and melons by hand. If the farm is on grassland, we recommend creating a border around the farm, like in the image above.
